postgresql desteği libphp4.so içine gömülecektir.
postgresql지원을 최종 httpd 에 포함시켰던 것을, php.ini 파일이나 dl() 함수를 사용하여 php에 동적으로 적재할 수 있는 pgsql.so 파일로 만든다는 것을 제외하면 이전 것과 같다.

if connection is busy, previously sent query to postgresql server is still executing.
pg_connection_busy() returns true if the connection is busy. if it is busy, a previous query is still executing. if pg_get_result() is called, it will be blocked.

pg_connect() opens a connection to a postgresql database specified by connection_string.
접속에 성공하면 접속지시자(a connection index)를 돌려주고, 실패하면 거짓( false )을 돌려준다. 이 함수의 목적은 postgresql에 접속하는 것이다. 인수들은 인용부호안에 표기해야 한다.
