བཙུན་པ་གསུམ་རིག་པ། དྲི་མ་གསུམ་སྤངས་ལ།
“reverend, as for one who has knowledge of the three and who has cast aside the three stains,

རིག་པ་དང་ཞབས་སུ་ལྡན་པ། བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པ།
the knowledgeable and venerable one,

དེས་སྨྲས་པ། རྒྱུ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་རིག་པ་ལོབས་པར་འགྱུར་ཏེ།
the court scribe replied, “there are two factors in honing one’s intelligence.

ཆོས་ཐོས་པ་དང་། ཆོས་རིག་པ་དང་། ཆོས་ཀྱི་གཏིང་སླེབ་པ་དང་།
heard the dharma, knew the dharma, plumbed the depths of the dharma,

དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་རིག་པ་དང་ཞབས་སུ་ལྡན་པ།
the arhat, the perfectly awakened buddha, the knowledgeable and venerable one,

རིག་པ་དང་མངོན་པར་ཤེས་པ་དང་། སོ་སོ་ཡང་དག་པར་རིག་པ་ཐོབ་པ།
he attained knowledge, clairvoyance, and discerning wisdom.

ཆོས་རིག་པ་དང་། ཆོས་ཀྱི་གཏིང་སླེབ་པ་དང་། སོམ་ཉི་ལས་རྒལ་བ་དང་།
knew the dharma, plumbed the depths of the dharma, overcame his skepticism,

རིག་པ་དང་ཞབས་སུ་ལྡན་པ། བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པ། འཇིག་རྟེན་མཁྱེན་པ།
a knowledgeable and venerable one, a sugata, one who knew the world,

ལས་དེའི་རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་སོ་སོ་ཡང་དག་པར་རིག་པ་ཐོབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་ཏུ་བསྟན།
that the ripened fruit of his action has led him to be singled out by the blessed one as supreme among those who have attained discerning wisdom?”

དགེ་སློང་དག་ངའི་ཉན་ཐོས་ཀྱི་དགེ་སློང་སོ་སོ་ཡང་དག་པར་རིག་པ་ཐོབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ནང་ན་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ།
“monks, among my monk disciples who have gained the knowledge of perfect discernment,

གཉིས་སུ་མི་གསུང་བ། ཞི་གནས་དང་ལྷག་མཐོང་གིས་བཞུགས་པ། རིག་པ་གསུམ་གསལ་བར་མཛད་པ།
does not speak duplicitously; is sustained by calm abiding and insight; illuminates the three types of knowledge;

་རིག་པ་དང་། མངོན་པར་ཤེས་པ་དང་། སོ་སོ་ཡང་དག་པར་རིག་པ་ཐོབ་པ། སྲིད་པ་དང་།
he attained knowledge, clairvoyance, and discerning wisdom. he turned his back on worldly gain,

དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་འོད་སྲུང་གིས་སོ་སོ་ཡང་དག་པར་རིག་པ་ཐོབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་ཏུ་བསྟན་ཏོ། །
and was singled out by the tathāgata, the arhat, the perfectly awakened buddha kāśyapa as supreme among those who have attained discerning wisdom.

གདབ་པར་བརྩམས་པས་སྨོན་ལམ་དེའི་དབང་གིས་ད་ལྟར་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པས་སོ་སོ་ཡང་དག་པར་རིག་པ་ཐོབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་ཏུ་བསྟན་ཏོ། །
because of that prayer, he has now been singled out by the tathāgata as supreme among those who have attained discerning wisdom.”

དེ་ནས་ཀུན་དུ་རྒྱུ་པང་ནས་སྐྱེས་ཆོས་མཐོང་བ་དང་། ཆོས་ཐོས་པ་དང་། ཆོས་རིག་པ་དང་། ཆོས་ཀྱི་གཏིང་སླེབ་པ་དང་།
kolita saw the dharma, heard the dharma, knew the dharma, plumbed the depths of the dharma,

བདག་ཀྱང་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཤཱཀྱ་ཐུབ་པ། ཤཱཀྱའི་སེང་གེ །ཤཱཀྱའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་གཙོ་བོ་དེས་སོ་སོ་ཡང་དག་པར་རིག་པ་ཐོབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་ཏུ་བསྟན་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག་ཅེས་
may i too be singled out by the blessed sage of the Śākyas, lion of the Śākyas, king of the Śākyas, as supreme among those who have attained discerning wisdom.’“
