השודד חטף את התיק מידו.
the robber seized the bag from his hand.

וישלך עליו ולא יחמל מידו ברוח יברח׃
for god shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.

ונגה כאור תהיה קרנים מידו לו ושם חביון עזה׃
and his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.

ולא אביתי לשמע לבלעם ויברך ברוך אתכם ואצל אתכם מידו׃
but i would not hearken unto balaam; therefore he blessed you still: so i delivered you out of his hand.

כה אמר המלך אל ישיא לכם חזקיהו כי לא יוכל להציל אתכם מידו׃
thus saith the king, let not hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:

ובא בארץ הצבי ורבות יכשלו ואלה ימלטו מידו אדום ומואב וראשית בני עמון׃
he shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even edom, and moab, and the chief of the children of ammon.

ועתה יהוה אלהינו הושיענו נא מידו וידעו כל ממלכות הארץ כי אתה יהוה אלהים לבדך׃
now therefore, o lord our god, i beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the lord god, even thou only.

כי חשבון עיר סיחן מלך האמרי הוא והוא נלחם במלך מואב הראשון ויקח את כל ארצו מידו עד ארנן׃
for heshbon was the city of sihon the king of the amorites, who had fought against the former king of moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto arnon.

ראיתי את האיל מנגח ימה וצפונה ונגבה וכל חיות לא יעמדו לפניו ואין מציל מידו ועשה כרצנו והגדיל׃
i saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני אל פרעה מלך מצרים ושברתי את זרעתיו את החזקה ואת הנשברת והפלתי את החרב מידו׃
therefore thus saith the lord god; behold, i am against pharaoh king of egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and i will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

ויאמר גיחזי נער אלישע איש האלהים הנה חשך אדני את נעמן הארמי הזה מקחת מידו את אשר הביא חי יהוה כי אם רצתי אחריו ולקחתי מאתו מאומה׃
but gehazi, the servant of elisha the man of god, said, behold, my master hath spared naaman this syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the lord liveth, i will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
