እኔና አብ አንድ ነን።

forgive my father . he has gone astray .
ለአባቴም ማር ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከተሳሳቱት ነበረና ፡ ፡

he that hateth me hateth my father also.
እኔን የሚጠላ አባቴን ደግሞ ይጠላል።

my father told me about you could i meet you
አባቴ ካንቺ ጋር መገናኘት እንደምችል ነግሮኛል።

and forgive my father , for he was among the astray .
ለአባቴም ማር ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከተሳሳቱት ነበረና ፡ ፡

and forgive my father , verily he is of the erring ;
ለአባቴም ማር ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከተሳሳቱት ነበረና ፡ ፡

c/my father always slap my face what shall i do
ሐ/ አባቴ ሁል ጊዜ ፊቴን በጥፊ ይመታኛል ምን ላድርግ

forgive my father , for he is one of those who are astray .
ለአባቴም ማር ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከተሳሳቱት ነበረና ፡ ፡

and forgive my father . indeed , he has been of those astray .
ለአባቴም ማር ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከተሳሳቱት ነበረና ፡ ፡

" forgive my father , for that he is among those astray ;
ለአባቴም ማር ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከተሳሳቱት ነበረና ፡ ፡

and i appoint unto you a kingdom, as my father hath appointed unto me;
አባቴ እኔን እንደ ሾመኝ እኔ ደግሞ በመንግሥቴ ከማዕዴ ትበሉና ትጠጡ ዘንድ፥ በአሥራ ሁለቱ በእስራኤል ነገድ ስትፈርዱ በዙፋኖች ትቀመጡ ዘንድ ለመንግሥት እሾማችኋለሁ።

and forgive my father , for surely he is of those who have gone astray ;
ለአባቴም ማር ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከተሳሳቱት ነበረና ፡ ፡

if ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as i have kept my father's commandments, and abide in his love.
እኔ የአባቴን ትእዛዝ እንደ ጠበቅሁ በፍቅሩም እንደምኖር፥ ትእዛዜን ብትጠብቁ በፍቅሬ ትኖራላችሁ።

forgive me and my father : he was surely among those who went astray .
ለአባቴም ማር ፡ ፡ እርሱ ከተሳሳቱት ነበረና ፡ ፡

go , take this shirt , and do you cast it on my father 's face , and he shall recover his sight ; then bring me your family all together . '
« ይህንን ቀሚሴን ይዛችሁ ሊዱ ፡ ፡ በአባቴ ፊትም ጣሉት የሚያይ ሆኖ ይመጣልና ፡ ፡ ቤተሰቦቻችሁንም ሰብስባችሁ አምጡልኝ » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

o my father ! worship not the satan ; hath been unto the compassionate a rebel .
« አባቴ ሆይ ! ሰይጣንን አትግገዛ ፡ ፡ ሰይጣን ለአልረሕማን አመጸኛ ነውና ፡ ፡

go with this shirt of mine and lay it on my father 's face , he will become ( again ) a seer ; and come to me with all your folk .
« ይህንን ቀሚሴን ይዛችሁ ሊዱ ፡ ፡ በአባቴ ፊትም ጣሉት የሚያይ ሆኖ ይመጣልና ፡ ፡ ቤተሰቦቻችሁንም ሰብስባችሁ አምጡልኝ » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

o my father ! serve not the shaitan , surely the shaitan is disobedient to the beneficent allah :
« አባቴ ሆይ ! ሰይጣንን አትግገዛ ፡ ፡ ሰይጣን ለአልረሕማን አመጸኛ ነውና ፡ ፡

go with this shirt of mine and cast it upon my father 's face ; he shall become clear-sighted ; and bring unto me all your household .
« ይህንን ቀሚሴን ይዛችሁ ሊዱ ፡ ፡ በአባቴ ፊትም ጣሉት የሚያይ ሆኖ ይመጣልና ፡ ፡ ቤተሰቦቻችሁንም ሰብስባችሁ አምጡልኝ » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

he said to his father , “ o my father , why do you worship what can neither hear , nor see , nor benefit you in any way ?
ለአባቱ ባለ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) « አባቴ ሆይ ! የማይሰማንና የማያይን ከአንተም ምንንም የማይጠቅምህን ( ጣዖት ) ለምን ትግገዛለህ
