އަދި، އެއުރެންނީ، އެއުރެންގެ ނަމާދުގެ މައްޗަށް ރައްކާތެރިވާ މީހުންނެވެ.

and [of] abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] -
އަދި (ހުރިހާ ކަންތައްތަކެއް) ފުރިހަމަގޮތުގައި ފުއްދެވި، إبراهيم ގެފާނު (ގެ ފަތްފުށްތައް) ވެސްމެއެވެ.

they will answer: "we did not fulfil our devotional obligations,
އެއުރެން ބުނާނެތެވެ. ނަމާދުކުރާ މީހުންގެ ތެރެޔަކު ތިމަންމެން ނުވަމުއެވެ.

when you are free from (your obligations), strive hard (to worship god)
ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު) دين އަށް ގޮވައިލެއްވުމުގެ މަސައްކަތުން (އަވަދިވެވަޑައިގަންނަވާހިނދު، ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު) އަޅުކަން ކުރެއްވުމުގައި (ވަރުބަލިވެ ވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come.
އެއުރެންނީ ނަމާދު قائم ކޮށް، زكاة ދީ، އަދި آخرة ދުވަހާމެދު يقين ކުރާ މީހުންނެވެ.

so observe your devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and obey the apostle so that you may be shown mercy.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނަމާދު قائم ކުރާށެވެ! އަދި زكاة ދޭށެވެ! އަދި رسول އާއަށް ކިޔަަމަންވާށެވެ! (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް رحمة ލެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

who believe in the unknown and fulfil their devotional obligations, and spend in charity of what we have given them;
އެއުރެންނީ، غيب އަށް إيمان ވާ، އަދި ނަމާދު قائم ކުރާ، އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް ދެއްވި ތަކެތިން ހޭދަކުރާ މީހުންނެވެ.

fulfil your devotional obligations and pay the zakat. and what you send ahead of good you will find with god, for he sees all that you do ill.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނަމާދު قائم ކުރާށެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން زكاة ދޭށެވެ! ހެޔޮކަމުގެ ތެރެއިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ އަމިއްލަ نفس ތަކަށްޓަކައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އިސްކުޅަ ކޮންމެ ކަމެއްގެ ثواب، اللَّه ގެ حضرة ގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ފެންނަހުށްޓެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކުރާކަންތައް މޮޅަށް ބައްލަވާވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

but they are succeeded by a generation who neglect their devotional obligations and follow only earthly pleasures; but they will reach the wrong road and meet destruction,
ފަހެ، އެބޭކަލުންނަށްފަހު، އެހެންބަޔަކު އައޫއެވެ. އެއުރެން ނަމާދު ދޫކޮށްލޫއެވެ. އަދި هوى نفس ގެ އެދުންތަކަށް تبع ވޫއެވެ. ފަހެ، ނިކަންހުރެ އެއުރެން ހަލާކާ ކުރިމަތިލާހުށްޓެވެ!

say to them, "obey god and his messenger. if you turn away, the messenger and the people will each be responsible for their own obligations.
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް ކިޔަމަންވާށެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން رسول އާއަށްވެސް ކިޔަމަންވާށެވެ! ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ފުރަގަސްދީ ހިނގައްޖެނަމަ، ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ މައްޗަށް އޮތްކަން ކަށަވަރީ އެކަލޭގެފާނާ މަތިކުރެއްވި ކަންތަކެވެ. (އެއީ رسول ކަން އިއްވެވުމެވެ.) އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށްއޮތީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާ މަތިކުރެއްވި ކަންތަކެވެ. (އެއީ إيمان ވެ ކިޔަމަންގަތުމެވެ.) އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ކިޔަމަންވާނަމަަ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ތެދުމަގު ލިބޭނެތެވެ. بيان ވެގެންވާ އިއްވެވުން މެނުވީ رسول އާގެ މައްޗަކަށް ނުވެއެވެ.

by men not distracted from the remembrance of god either by trade and commerce or buying and selling, who stand by their devotional obligations and pay the zakat, who fear the day when hearts and eyes would flutter with trepidation
އެއީ ފިރިހެނުންތަކެކެވެ. (އެބަހީ: تسبيح ކިޔައި ނަމާދުކޮށް އުޅެނީ ފިރިހެނުންތަކެކެވެ.) ވިޔަފާރިއެއް ނުވަތަ އެހެންއެއްވެސް ވިއްކުމެއް اللَّه ގެ މަތިން ހަނދުމަކުޅައުމުންނާއި، ނަމާދު قائم ކުޅައުމުންނާއި، زكاة ދިނުމުން، އެއުރެން مشغول ކޮށް ދުރުކޮށެއް ނުލަތެވެ. އެދުވަހެއްގައި، ހިތްތަކާއި، ލޯތައް އެފުށްމިފުށަށް އެނބުރިއުޅޭ ދުވަހަށް، އެއުރެން ބިރުވެތިވެތެވެ.

whose hearts are filled with awe when the name of god is mentioned before them, who endure with fortitude what befalls them, and fulfil their moral obligations, and expend of what we have given them.
އެއުރެންނީ، اللَّه ގެ ނަންފުޅު ގަނެވޭހިނދު، އެއުރެންގެ ހިތްތައް ބިރުވެތިވެ މަޑުމޮޅިވާ މީހުންނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަށްޖެހޭ ކަންތަކަށް ކެތްތެރިވާމީހުންނެވެ. އަދި ނަމާދު قائم ކޮށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް ދެއްވި ތަކެތިން ހޭދަކުރާ މީހުންނެވެ.

have you not seen that all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the birds on the wing, sing the praises of god. each one knows its obligations and its duties, and god knows whatever they do.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އަށް، އުޑުތަކާއި، ބިމުގައިވާހާ ބަޔަކު، އަދި ދޫނިސޫފާސޫފިތައް އެ ތަކެތީގެ ފިޔަތައް ދަމާލައިގެން އުދުހިއުދުހި ތިބޭހިނދު، އެކަލާނގެއަށް تسبيح ކިޔަކިޔައި ތިބޭކަން ކަލޭގެފާނަށް އެނގިވަޑައިނުގަންނަވަނީތޯއެވެ؟ ކޮންމެ އެއްޗަކަށްމެ، އެ އެއްޗެއްގެ އަޅުކަމާއި، އެ އެއްޗެއްގެ تسبيح އެނގިފައިވެއެވެ. اللَّه އީ، އެއުރެން ކުރާ ކަންތައް މޮޅަށްދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

only those who believe in god and the last day, who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and fear no one but god, can visit the mosques of god. they may hope to be among the guided.
اللَّه ގެ މިސްކިތްތައް ފަޅުފިލުވައި ބަލަހައްޓާނީ، اللَّه އަށާއި، آخرة ދުވަހަށް إيمان ވެ، ނަމާދު قائم ކޮށް، زكاة ދީ، اللَّه އަށް މެނުވީ ބިރުނުގަންނަ މީހުންކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަކީ، ތެދުމަގު ލިބިގެންވާ މީހުން ކަމުގައިވުން ގާތްބަޔެކެވެ.

but to the learned among them, and the believers who affirm what has been revealed to you and was revealed to those before you, and to those who fulfil their devotional obligations, who pay the zakat and believe in god and the last day, we shall give a great reward.
އެހެނެއްކަމަކު އެއުރެންގެތެރެއިން علم ވެރިކަމުގައި ސާބިތުވެ ހަރުލައިތިބި މީހުންނާއި، مؤمن ން ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ބާވައިލެއްވި ފޮތަށާއި، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރިން ބާވައިލެއްވި ފޮތްތަކަށް إيمان ވެެއެވެ. (އެއުރެންނާއި) އަދި خاص ކޮށް ނަމާދު قائم ކުރާ މީހުންނާއި، زكاة ދޭ މީހުންނާއި، اللَّه އަށާއި، آخرة ދުވަހަށް إيمان ވާ މީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) އެއުރެންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ބޮޑުވެގެންވާ ދަރުމަ ދެއްވާހުށީމެވެ.

alms are only for: the poor and the destitute, for those who collect zakat, for conciliating people's hearts, for freeing slaves, for those in debt, for spending for god's cause, and for travellers in need. it is a legal obligation enjoined by god.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، صدقات ގެ ތަކެތި ވަނީ فقير ންނަށާއި، مسكين ންނަށާއި، އެކަމުގެ عامل ންނަށާއި، އެއުރެންގެ ހިތްތައް އެކުވެރިކުރައްވާ މީހުންނަށާއި، (އެބަހީ: އަލަށް إسلام ވީ މީހުންނަށާއި) އަޅުން މިނިވަންކުރުމުގައްޔާއި، ދަރަނިވެރިންނަށާއި، اللَّه ގެ މަގުގައްޔާއި (حال ގައި ޖެހިފައިވާ) ދަތުރުވެރިންނަށެވެ. اللَّه ގެ حضرة ން ކަނޑައަޅުއްވާފައިވާ فرض އެއްގެ ގޮތުގައެވެ. اللَّه އީ، މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ، حكيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.
