that, because god has sent down the book with the truth; and those that are at variance regarding the book are in wide schism.

but if they turn away, then are they in schism, and allah will suffice thee (for defence) against them.
men hvis de vender seg bort, så skaper de splid. gud er tilstrekkelig for deg mot dem.

let not the schism with me cause you to sin so that there befall you that which befell the folk of noah and the folk of hud, and the folk of salih; and the folk of lot are not far off from you.
måtte ikke bruddet med meg føre dere i synd, så noe tilsvarende vil ramme dere som rammet noas folk, hods folk, eller salihs folk, og lots folk er ikke fjernt fra dere.

that is because allah hath revealed the scripture with the truth. lo! those who find (a cause of) disagreement in the scripture are in open schism.

say thou: bethink ye! if it is really from allah and then ye disbelieve therein, then who is further astray than one who is in schism far-off?

and if they believe in the like of that you believe in, then they are truly guided; but if they turn away, then they are clearly in schism; god will suffice you for them; he is the all-hearing, the all-knowing;
