தன் (இழிவான) இச்சையையே தன் தெய்வமாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டவனை (நபியே!) நீர் பார்த்தீரா? அ(த்தகைய)வனுக்கு நீர் பாதுகாவலராக இருப்பீரா?

when you entered your garden, why did you not say: 'as god may please;' for no one has power except given by god? though you see me poorer in wealth and children than you,
"மேலும், நீ உன் தோட்டத்தில் நுழைந்தபோது 'மாஷா அல்லாஹு; லா குவ்வத்த இல்லா பில்லாஹ்' - அல்லாஹ் நாடியதே நடக்கும்; அனைத்து சக்தியும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கேயன்றி வேறில்லை - என்று கூறியிருக்க வேண்டாமா? செல்வத்திலும், பிள்ளையிலும் நான் உன்னைவிடக் குறைந்தவனாக இருப்பதாய் நீ கண்ட போதிலும் -

and why did you, when you entered your garden, not say, 'what allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in allah '? although you see me less than you in wealth and children,
"மேலும், நீ உன் தோட்டத்தில் நுழைந்தபோது 'மாஷா அல்லாஹு; லா குவ்வத்த இல்லா பில்லாஹ்' - அல்லாஹ் நாடியதே நடக்கும்; அனைத்து சக்தியும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கேயன்றி வேறில்லை - என்று கூறியிருக்க வேண்டாமா? செல்வத்திலும், பிள்ளையிலும் நான் உன்னைவிடக் குறைந்தவனாக இருப்பதாய் நீ கண்ட போதிலும் -

when you entered your garden why did you not say: "if allah wills; there is no power except by allah." though you see me lesser than yourself in wealth and children,
"மேலும், நீ உன் தோட்டத்தில் நுழைந்தபோது 'மாஷா அல்லாஹு; லா குவ்வத்த இல்லா பில்லாஹ்' - அல்லாஹ் நாடியதே நடக்கும்; அனைத்து சக்தியும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கேயன்றி வேறில்லை - என்று கூறியிருக்க வேண்டாமா? செல்வத்திலும், பிள்ளையிலும் நான் உன்னைவிடக் குறைந்தவனாக இருப்பதாய் நீ கண்ட போதிலும் -

he replied, "did you see when we were resting by the rock, that i forgot the fish? satan made me forget it, so i did not mention it. it made its way to the sea in a miraculous way!"

"என்னுடைய சமூகத்தார்களே! இன்று ஆட்சி உங்களிடம்தான் இருக்கிறது நீங்கள் தாம் (எகிப்து) பூமியில் மிகைத்தவர்களாகவும் இருக்கின்றீர்கள்; ஆயினும் அல்லாஹ்வின் தண்டனை நமக்கு வந்து விட்டால், நமக்கு உதவி செய்பவர் யார்?" என்றும் கூறினார்) அதற்கு "நான் (உண்மை எனக்) காண்பதையே உங்களுக்கு நான் காண்பிக்கிறேன்; நேரான பாதையல்லாது (வேறு) எதையும் நான் உங்களுக்கு காண்பிக்கவில்லை" என ஃபிர்அவ்ன் கூறினான்.
