(அதற்கவர்கள்) "அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது சத்தியமாக! நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய பழைய தவறினாலேயே இருக்கின்றீர்கள்" என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

indeed, he who earns evil and becomes engrossed in his sin, they are the people of the fire; in it they shall remain for ever.
அப்படியல்ல! எவர் தீமையைச் சம்பாதித்து, அந்தக் குற்றம் அவரைச் சூழ்ந்து கொள்கிறதோ, அத்தகையோர் நரகவாசிகளே, அவர்கள் அ(ந்நரகத்)தில் என்றென்றும் இருப்பார்கள்.

or, are the people of the towns so unafraid that (even when) our retribution comes upon them in the hours of the morning they remain engrossed in sport and play?
அல்லது அவ்வூர் வாசிகள் (கவலையில்லாது) பகலில் விளையாடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் போதே, நமது வேதனை அவர்களையடையாது என பயமில்லாமல் இருக்கின்றார்களா?

does it seem strange to people that we should have revealed to a man from among themselves, directing him to warn the people (who lie engrossed in heedlessness); and to give good news to the believers that they shall enjoy true honour and an exalted status with their lord? (is this so strange that) the deniers of the truth should say: 'this man is indeed an evident sorcerer'?
மனிதர்களை அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பதற்காகவும், ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய இறைவனிடம் நிச்சயமாகப் பெரும் பதவி கிடைக்கும் என்று நன்மாராயம் கூறுவதற்காகவும், அவர்களிலிருந்தே நாம் ஒரு மனிதருக்கு வஹீ அருள்கிறோம் என்பதில் மக்களுக்கு ஆச்சரியம் ஏற்பட்டு விட்டதா? காஃபிர்களோ, "நிச்சயமாக இவர் பகிரங்கமான சூனியக்காரரே" என்று கூறுகின்றனர்.
