தன் தாய் தந்தையருக்கு நன்மை செய்யும்படியாக நாம் மனிதனுக்கு வஸிய்யத்து செய்திருக்கிறோம்; எனினும், (மனிதனே!) உனக்கு அறிவு இல்லாத ஒன்றை எனக்கு இணையாக்கும்படி அவ்விருவரும் உன்னை வற்புறுத்தினால், நீ அவ்விருவருக்கும் கீழ்படிய வேண்டாம்; என்னிடமே உங்கள் அனைவரின் மீளுதலும் இருக்கிறது நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவை பற்றி அப்போது நான் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பேன்.

he said: 'this is the parting between me and you. but now i will tell you the interpretation of that which you could not patiently bear.
"இது தான் எனக்கும், உமக்குமிடையே பிரிவு(க்குரிய நேரம்) ஆகும்; எதைப் பற்றி நீர் பொறுமையாக இருக்க முடியவில்லையோ, அதன் விளக்கத்தையும் (இப்பொழுதே) உமக்குத் திட்டமாக அறிவித்து விடுகிறேன்" என்று அவர் கூறினார்.

he answered, "this is where you and i must part company. but first i will tell you the meaning of the things you could not bear with patiently.

if they try to force you to associate with me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. live with them honourably in the world, but follow the way of him who turns to me. your returning is to me in the end, when i will tell you what you did.
ஆனால், நீ எது பற்றி அறிவு (ஆதாரம்) பெற்றவனாக இல்லையோ அதனை எனக்கு இணை வைக்குமாறு உன்னை அவ்விருவரும் வற்புறுத்தினால் அப்போது நீ அவ்விருவருக்கும் வழிபட வேணடாம்; ஆனால் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் அவ்விருவருடனும் அழகிய முறையில் உறவு வைத்துக் கொள்; (யாவற்றிலும்) என்னையே நோக்கி நிற்போரின் வழியையே நீ பின்பற்றுவாயாக - பின்னர் உங்கள் (அனைவருடைய) மீளுதலும் என்னிடமேயாகும்; நீங்கள் என்ன செய்து கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள் என்பதை (அப்போது) நான் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பேன்."

(khidr) said: "this is the parting between me and you, i will tell you the interpretation of (those) things over which you were unable to hold patience.
"இது தான் எனக்கும், உமக்குமிடையே பிரிவு(க்குரிய நேரம்) ஆகும்; எதைப் பற்றி நீர் பொறுமையாக இருக்க முடியவில்லையோ, அதன் விளக்கத்தையும் (இப்பொழுதே) உமக்குத் திட்டமாக அறிவித்து விடுகிறேன்" என்று அவர் கூறினார்.

he said: 'before any food comes to feed either of you, i will give you its interpretation. that which i will tell you has been taught to me by allah. i reject the belief of a nation who do not believe in allah and disbelieve in the everlasting life.
அதற்கு அவர் கூறினார்; "உங்களிருவருக்கும் அளிக்கக்கூடிய உணவு உங்களிடம் வ(ந்து சே)ருவதற்கு முன்னரும் - (இக்கனவுகளின்) பலனை நீங்களிருவரும் அடைவதற்கு முன்னரும் - இவற்றின் விளக்கத்தை உங்களிலிருவருக்கும் கூறிவிடுகிறேன். இது என் இறைவன் எனக்குக் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தவற்றிலிருந்தும் உள்ளவை அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளாதவர்களும், மறுமையை நிராகரிப்பவர்களுமான சமூகத்தாரின் மார்க்கத்தை நான் நிச்சயமாக விட்டு விட்டேன்.

but if they press you to associate something with me about which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. yet be kind to them in this world and follow the path of those who turn to me. you will all return to me in the end, and i will tell you everything that you have done.
ஆனால், நீ எது பற்றி அறிவு (ஆதாரம்) பெற்றவனாக இல்லையோ அதனை எனக்கு இணை வைக்குமாறு உன்னை அவ்விருவரும் வற்புறுத்தினால் அப்போது நீ அவ்விருவருக்கும் வழிபட வேணடாம்; ஆனால் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் அவ்விருவருடனும் அழகிய முறையில் உறவு வைத்துக் கொள்; (யாவற்றிலும்) என்னையே நோக்கி நிற்போரின் வழியையே நீ பின்பற்றுவாயாக - பின்னர் உங்கள் (அனைவருடைய) மீளுதலும் என்னிடமேயாகும்; நீங்கள் என்ன செய்து கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள் என்பதை (அப்போது) நான் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பேன்."
