i still think that the original idea is right. i’d probably use crochet thread or a really light laceweight or sockweight yarn so that the tights are not super bulky on my legs. i’ve never used elastic in a crochet project and i think that’s a skill i’d want to tackle for this project so that the waistband of the tights could be comfortable.
