Մովսէսը գնաց փարաւոնի մօտից եւ աղօթեց Աստծուն:
and he went out from pharaoh, and intreated the lord.

Տէրը կարծրացրեց փարաւոնի սիրտը, եւ նա չարձակեց իսրայէլացիներին:

and the midianites sold him into egypt unto potiphar, an officer of pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.

Կարծրացաւ փարաւոնի սիրտը, եւ նա չլսեց նրանց, ինչպէս որ ասել էր Տէրը:
and he hardened pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the lord had said.

Բայց դրանից յետոյ էլ փարաւոնի սիրտը կարծրացաւ, եւ նա չուզեց արձակել ժողովրդին:
and pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

Տեսան նրան նաեւ փարաւոնի իշխանները, գովեցին նրան փարաւոնի առաջ ու նրան տարան փարաւոնի պալատը:
the princes also of pharaoh saw her, and commended her before pharaoh: and the woman was taken into pharaoh's house.

Ես կը կարծրացնեմ փարաւոնի սիրտը, բայց եւ կը բազմապատկեմ իմ նշաններն ու զարմանահրաշ գործերը Եգիպտացիների երկրում,
and i will harden pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of egypt.

Կարծրացաւ փարաւոնի սիրտը, եւ նա իսրայէլացիներին չարձակեց, ինչպէս որ յայտնել էր Տէրը Մովսէսի միջոցով:
and the heart of pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of israel go; as the lord had spoken by moses.

Եգիպտացիները հետապնդեցին նրանց, եւ փարաւոնի ամբողջ հեծելազօրը, նրա կառքերն ու հեծեալները նրանց յետեւից մտան ծովը:
and the egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

Նրանք ասացին. Մեզ փրկեցիր, մենք արժանացանք մեր տիրոջ գթութեանը, ուստի թող լինենք փարաւոնի ստրուկները»:
and they said, thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be pharaoh's servants.

Տէրը, խօսելով Մովսէսի հետ, ասաց. «Մտի՛ր ու խօսի՛ր եգիպտացիների արքայ փարաւոնի հետ,
and the lord spake unto moses, saying,

Բոլոր եգիպտացիները կը գիտենան, որ ե՛ս եմ Տէրը, երբ փառաւորուեմ փարաւոնի, նրա կառքերի ու հեծելազօրի առաջ»:
and the egyptians shall know that i am the lord, when i have gotten me honour upon pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

Արդ, արի՛ քեզ ուղարկեմ եգիպտացիների արքայ փարաւոնի մօտ, որ իմ ժողովրդին՝ իսրայէլացիներին հանես Եգիպտացիների երկրից»:
come now therefore, and i will send thee unto pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of israel out of egypt.

Երբ փարաւոնը լսեց այդ դէպքի մասին, պահանջեց, որ սպանեն Մովսէսին: Մովսէսը փախաւ փարաւոնի պատճառով ու բնակուեց Մադիամի երկրում:
now when pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay moses. but moses fled from the face of pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of midian: and he sat down by a well.

Եւ Տէրն այդպէս էլ արեց: Բազում շնաճանճեր թափուեցին փարաւոնի պալատների, նրա պաշտօնեաների տների ու Եգիպտացիների ամբողջ երկրի վրայ: Շնաճանճերից կործանուեց երկիրը:
and the lord did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.

եւ Եգիպտացիների երկրում կը մեռնեն բոլոր անդրանիկ զաւակները՝ իր գահին բազմած փարաւոնի անդրանիկ որդուց սկսած մինչեւ երկանքի մօտ աշխատող աղախնի անդրանիկ որդին, բոլոր անասունների առաջնածինները:
and all the firstborn in the land of egypt shall die, from the firstborn of pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

Նա բացեց եւ տեսաւ երեխային: Երեխան լաց էր լինում զամբիւղում: Փարաւոնի դուստրը, խղճալով նրան, ասաց. «Եբրայեցիների երեխաներից է դա»:
and when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. and she had compassion on him, and said, this is one of the hebrews' children.
