כל ישבי האיים שממו עליך ומלכיהם שערו שער רעמו פנים׃
all the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.

ובנו בני נכר חמתיך ומלכיהם ישרתונך כי בקצפי הכיתיך וברצוני רחמתיך׃
and the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath i smote thee, but in my favour have i had mercy on thee.

ופתחו שעריך תמיד יומם ולילה לא יסגרו להביא אליך חיל גוים ומלכיהם נהוגים׃
therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

והשמותי עליך עמים רבים ומלכיהם ישערו עליך שער בעופפי חרבי על פניהם וחרדו לרגעים איש לנפשו ביום מפלתך׃
yea, i will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when i shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.

ויאמר אלי בן אדם את מקום כסאי ואת מקום כפות רגלי אשר אשכן שם בתוך בני ישראל לעולם ולא יטמאו עוד בית ישראל שם קדשי המה ומלכיהם בזנותם ובפגרי מלכיהם במותם׃
and he said unto me, son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where i will dwell in the midst of the children of israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.
