kelarutan adalah jumlah maksimum zat terlarut yang dapat larut dalam sejumlah pelarut. factor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kelarutan, yaitu suhu, jenis pelarut, ukuran zat terlarut, ph, ion senama dan kecepatan pengadukan. adapun tujuan pada percobaan ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh temperature terhadap kelarutan. metode yang digunakan pada percobaan ini adalah pemanasan. prinsip yang digunakan pada percobaan ini adalah kelarutan. hasil yang diperoleh dari percobaan ini adalah kelarutan akan meningkat seiring dengan kenaikan suhu. pada percobaan ini, asam benzoate dapat dikatakan jenuh apabila sudah mencapai kesetimbangan antara zat terlarut dengan pelarutnya. jika kesetimbangan suatu larutan diganggu seperti merubah suhu, maka konsentrasi larutannya juga akan berubah yang ditunjukan dengan berubahnya kelarutan zat tersebut. pada suhu yang rendah, ada terbentuknya kristal dari asam benzoate. kristal tersebut tidak boleh terikut saat pengambilan larutan untuk dititrasi karena akan berpengaruh terhadap volume hasil titrasinya. ketika konsentrasi larutannya tinggi maka volume dari titrannya juga akan semakin banyak.
