the first rule of jugger: is that there is no jugger! when a cult 80’s film was adapted into a real live version being played in berlin, no-one had heard of "jugging" or its strange and weird rules. nowadays, although still underground, this pseudo-violent sport is played by numerous teams in germany, australia and the usa and every year there is a major tournament in berlin. we discover the weird world of the jugger, the men (and women) behind it and why everyday people dress up in outrageous costumes in this enlightening, roller-coaster short film.
