በዚያን ጊዜ ኢየሱስ ከእነርሱ ጋር ጌቴሴማኒ ወደምትባል ስፍራ መጣ ደቀ መዛሙርቱንም። ወዲያ ሄጄ ስጸልይ ሳለ በዚህ ተቀመጡ አላቸው።

and another of his disciples said unto him, lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
ከደቀ መዛሙርቱም ሌላው። ጌታ ሆይ፥ አስቀድሜ እንድሄድ አባቴን እንድቀብር ፍቀድልኝ አለው።

« ልጆቼ ሆይ ! ሊዱ ፤ ከዩሱፍና ከወንድሙም ( ወሬ ) ተመራመሩ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም እዝነት ተስፋ አትቁረጡ ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከአላህ እዝነት ከሓዲዎች ሕዝቦች እንጂ ተስፋ አይቆርጥም » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

you have no right to be insolent here . go , and away ; you are one of the damned . "
ከእርሷ ውረድ ፤ በእርሷ ውስጥ ልትኮራ አይገባህምና ፡ ፡ ውጣም አንተ ከወራዶቹ ነህና አለው ፡ ፡

and the lord said to the angels : " i am with you ; go and strengthen the faithful . i shall fill the hearts of infidels with terror .
ጌታህ ወደ መላእክቱ « » እኔ ( በእርዳታዬ ) ከእናንተ ጋር ነኝና እነዚያን ያመኑትን አጽናኑ ፡ ፡ በእነዚያ በካዱት ልቦች ውስጥ ፍርሃትን በእርግጥ እጥላለሁ ፡ ፡ ከአንገቶችም በላይ ( ራሶችን ) ምቱ ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም የቅርንጫፎችን መለያልይ ሁሉ ምቱ ፡ ፡ ሲል ያወረደውን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

go and try to find out about joseph and his brother and do not despair of allah 's mercy . verily only the unbelievers despair of allah 's mercy . "
« ልጆቼ ሆይ ! ሊዱ ፤ ከዩሱፍና ከወንድሙም ( ወሬ ) ተመራመሩ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም እዝነት ተስፋ አትቁረጡ ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከአላህ እዝነት ከሓዲዎች ሕዝቦች እንጂ ተስፋ አይቆርጥም » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

he said : go , and whosoever of them followeth thee - lo ! hell will be your payment , ample payment .
( አላህም ) አለው « ኺድ ፤ ከእነሱም የተከተለህ ገሀነም የተሟላች ቅጣት ስትኾን ፍዳችሁ ናት ፡ ፡

the chiefs among them go about , exhorting : go and be staunch to your gods ! lo ! this is a thing designed .
ከእነርሱም መኳንንቶቹ « ሂዱ ፤ በአማልክቶቻችሁም ( መግገዛት ) ላይ ታገሱ ፡ ፡ ይህ ( ከእኛ ) የሚፈለግ ነገር ነውና » እያሉ አዘገሙ ፡ ፡

and the chief persons of them break forth , saying : go and steadily adhere to your gods ; this is most surely a thing sought after .
ከእነርሱም መኳንንቶቹ « ሂዱ ፤ በአማልክቶቻችሁም ( መግገዛት ) ላይ ታገሱ ፡ ፡ ይህ ( ከእኛ ) የሚፈለግ ነገር ነውና » እያሉ አዘገሙ ፡ ፡

my sons , go and search for joseph and his brother and do not despair of receiving comfort from god ; only the unbelievers despair of receiving comfort from him . "

when i am an old woman i shall wear purple with a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me. and i shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves and satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter. i shall sit down on the pavement when i'm tired and gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells and run my stick along the public railings and make up for the sobriety of my youth. i shall go out in my slippers in the rain and pick flowers in other people's gardens and learn to spit. you can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat and eat three pounds of sausages at a go or only bread and pickle for a week and hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes. but now we must have clothes that keep us dry and pay our rent and not swear in the street and set a good example for the children. we must have friends to dinner and read the papers. but maybe i ought to practice a little now? so people who know me are not too shocked and surprised when suddenly i am old, and start to wear purple.
