and certainly some narratives have come to them wherein is prevention--
ከዜናዎችም በእርሱ ውስጥ መገሰጥ ያለበት ነገር በእርግጥ መጣላቸው ፡ ፡

narratives that are full of consummate wisdom . but warnings do not avail them .
ሙሉ የኾነች ጥበብ ( መጣቻቸው ) ግን አስፈራሪዎቹ አያብቃቁም ፡ ፡

we recount to you the best of narratives in revealing this quran to you , even though you were unaware of it before it came .
እኛ ይህንን ቁርኣን ወደ አንተ በማውረዳችን በጣም መልካም ዜናዎችን በአንተ ላይ እንተርክልሃለን ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከእርሱ በፊት ( ካለፉት ሕዝቦች ታሪክ ) በእርግጥ ከዘንጊዎቹ ነበርክ ፡ ፡

we narrate to you the best of narratives , by our revealing to you this quran , though before this you were certainly one of those who did not know .
እኛ ይህንን ቁርኣን ወደ አንተ በማውረዳችን በጣም መልካም ዜናዎችን በአንተ ላይ እንተርክልሃለን ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከእርሱ በፊት ( ካለፉት ሕዝቦች ታሪክ ) በእርግጥ ከዘንጊዎቹ ነበርክ ፡ ፡

surely there came to them narratives ( of the ancient nations ) that should suffice to deter ( them from transgression ) ,
ከዜናዎችም በእርሱ ውስጥ መገሰጥ ያለበት ነገር በእርግጥ መጣላቸው ፡ ፡

in the sending down of this koran , we will narrate to you ( prophet muhammad ) the best of narratives , of which you were previously unaware .
እኛ ይህንን ቁርኣን ወደ አንተ በማውረዳችን በጣም መልካም ዜናዎችን በአንተ ላይ እንተርክልሃለን ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከእርሱ በፊት ( ካለፉት ሕዝቦች ታሪክ ) በእርግጥ ከዘንጊዎቹ ነበርክ ፡ ፡

we narrate unto thee ( muhammad ) the best of narratives in that we have inspired in thee this qur 'an , though aforetime thou wast of the heedless .
እኛ ይህንን ቁርኣን ወደ አንተ በማውረዳችን በጣም መልካም ዜናዎችን በአንተ ላይ እንተርክልሃለን ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከእርሱ በፊት ( ካለፉት ሕዝቦች ታሪክ ) በእርግጥ ከዘንጊዎቹ ነበርክ ፡ ፡

and had we willed we would surely have lifted him thereby , but he clung to the earth and followed his desire , wherefore his case became like unto the case of a dog , who , if thou attackest him , lolleth out his tongue and if thou leavest him alone , lolleth out his tongue . such is the likeness of the people who belie our sign ; so recount thou the narratives , that haply they may refelect .
በሻንም ኖሮ በእርሷ ከፍ ባደረግነው ነበር ፡ ፡ እርሱ ግን ወደ ምድር ተዘነበለ ፡ ፡ ፍላጎቱንም ተከተለ ፡ ፡ ብጤውም ብታባርረው ምላሱን አውጥቶ የሚያለከልክ ወይም ብትተወው ምላሱን አውጥቶ የሚያለከልክ እንደ ኾነ ውሻ ነው ፡ ፡ ይህ የእነዚያ በአንቀጾቻችን ያስተባበሉት ሕዝቦች ምሳሌ ነው ፡ ፡ ያስተነትኑም ዘንድ ታሪኮችን ተርክላቸው ፡ ፡
