तुम्हें क्या हो गया है कि तुम अल्लाह पर ईमान नहीं लाते ; जबकि रसूल तुम्हें निमंत्रण दे रहा है कि तुम अपने रब पर ईमान लाओ और वह तुमसे दृढ़ वचन भी ले चुका है , यदि तुम मोमिन हो

and what is the matter with you that you believe not in allah ! while the messenger invites you to believe in your lord , and he has indeed taken your covenant , if you are real believers .
तुम्हें क्या हो गया है कि तुम अल्लाह पर ईमान नहीं लाते ; जबकि रसूल तुम्हें निमंत्रण दे रहा है कि तुम अपने रब पर ईमान लाओ और वह तुमसे दृढ़ वचन भी ले चुका है , यदि तुम मोमिन हो

(ये फ़क़त तुम्हारे हीले हैं) बात ये है कि तुम ये समझे बैठे थे कि रसूल और मोमिनीन हरगिज़ कभी अपने लड़के वालों में पलट कर आने ही के नहीं (और सब मार डाले जाएँगे) और यही बात तुम्हारे दिलों में भी खप गयी थी और इसी वजह से, तुम तरह तरह की बदगुमानियाँ करने लगे थे और (आख़िरकार) तुम लोग आप बरबाद हुए

"but abraham said, 'son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and lazarus, in the same way, bad things. but now here he is comforted and you are in anguish.
और उस ने पुकार कर कहा, हे पिता इब्राहीम, मुझ पर दय करके लाजर को भेज दे, ताकि वह अपनी उंगुली का सिरा पानी में भिगोकर मेरी जीभ को ठंडी करे, क्योंकि मैं इस ज्वाला में तड़प रहा हूं।

and o dear prophet , remember when you said to him upon whom allah has bestowed favour and you had bestowed favour , “ keep your wife with you , and fear allah” , and you kept in your heart what allah willed to make known , and you feared criticism from the people ; and allah has more right that you should fear him ; so when zaid became unconcerned with her , we gave her to you in marriage , so that there may be no sin upon believers in respect of the wives of their adopted sons when they have become unconcerned with them ; and the command of allah must be carried out .
याद करो , जबकि तुम उस व्यक्ति से कह रहे थे जिसपर अल्लाह ने अनुकम्पा की , और तुमने भी जिसपर अनुकम्पा की कि " अपनी पत्नी को अपने पास रोक रखो और अल्लाह का डर रखो , और तुम अपने जी में उस बात को छिपा रहे हो जिसको अल्लाह प्रकट करनेवाला है । तुम लोगों से डरते हो , जबकि अल्लाह इसका ज़्यादा हक़ रखता है कि तुम उससे डरो । " अतः जब ज़ैद उससे अपनी ज़रूरत पूरी कर चुका तो हमने उसका तुमसे विवाह कर दिया , ताकि ईमानवालों पर अपने मुँह बोले बेटों की पत्नियों के मामले में कोई तंगी न रहे जबकि वे उनसे अपनी ज़रूरत पूरी कर लें । अल्लाह का फ़ैसला तो पूरा होकर ही रहता है
