ދުވާލު ފާޅުވެ، އަލިވެއްޖެހިނދު، އެ ދުވާލު ގަންދެއްވަމެވެ.

އިރާއި، އޭގެ އަލިކަން ގަންދެއްވަމެވެ.

by the sun and his (glorious) splendour;
އިރާއި، އޭގެ އަލިކަން ގަންދެއްވަމެވެ.

سدرة المنتهى ފޮރުވައިލި (ފުރިހަމަ) ކަމެއްއައިސް ފޮރުވައިލި ހިނދުގައެވެ.

and placed (therein) a light of splendour?
އަދި އަލިކަންގަދަ ވޮށެއް (އެބަހީ: އިރު) ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ލެއްވީމެވެ.

i call to witness the sun and his early morning splendour,
އިރާއި، އޭގެ އަލިކަން ގަންދެއްވަމެވެ.

only the person of your lord, full of majesty and splendour, will endure.
އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރި، ކީރިތިވަންތަކަމާއި، މާތްވަންތަކަމުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ ذات ފުޅު ދެމިވޮޑިގެންވެއެވެ.

we have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކުރިން ކިތައް ކިތައް أمّة ހަލާކުކުރެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ މުދާވެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުންނާއި، ފެންނަ ފެނުމަށް އެއުރެން މާރަނގަޅެވެ.

(if they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނީ، ތެދުބުނާބަޔަކު ކަމުގައިވާނަމަ، އެފަދަ قرآن އަކާއިގެން އައިސްބަލާށެވެ!

its night doth he endow with darkness, and its splendour doth he bring out (with light).
އަދި އެ އުޑުގެ ރޭގަނޑު އަނދިރިކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި އެ އުޑުގެ ދުވާލު ފާޅުކުރެއްވިއެވެ.

އަދި އަހާއި، بغل އާއި، حمار ވެސް ހެއްދެވިއެވެ. އެއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެ ތަކެއްޗަށް ސަވާރުވުމަށާއި، އަދި ޒީނަތެއްގެ ގޮތުގައެވެ. އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނުދަންނަ ތަކެތި އެކަލާނގެ ހައްދަވަތެވެ.

lo! thou hast given pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and riches in the life of the world, our lord! that they may lead men astray from thy way.
موسى ގެފާނު ދެންނެވިއެވެ. އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޯއެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ فرعون އަށާއި، އޭނާގެ ބޮޑުންނަށް ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމުގައި ޒީނަތްތެރިކަމާއި، މުދާތައް ދެއްވީމުއެވެ. އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޯއެވެ! (އެތަކެތިން) އެއުރެން އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ ތެދުމަގުން (މީސްތަކުން) އެއްކިބާކުރެތެވެ. އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޯއެވެ! އެއުރެންގެ މުދާތައް ހަލާކު ކުރައްވައި، ނެތިކުރައްވާނދޭވެ! އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ހިތްތައް ހަރުކަށިކުރައްވައި، ސިއްކަގައްސަވާނދޭވެ! ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަށް ވޭންދެނިވި عذاب ފެނިއްޖައުމަށް ދާނދެން، އެއުރެން إيمان އެއް ނުވާނެތެވެ.

nor strain thine eyes in longing for the things we have given for enjoyment to parties of them, the splendour of the life of this world, through which we test them: but the provision of thy lord is better and more enduring.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން ބަޔަކަށް دنيوى حياة ގެ ޒީނަތްތެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެތަކެއްޗާމެދު އެއުރެން امتحان ކުރެއްވުމަށްޓަކައި، ދެއްވި ތަކެއްޗަށް އެދިވަޑައިގެން، ކަލޭގެފާނު ނުބައްލަވާށެވެ! ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެއްވަވާ ތަކެތި ހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑެވެ. އަދި ދެމިހުރުން މާބޮޑުމެއެވެ.

and strain not thine eyes after that which we have given classes of them to enjoy: the splendour of the life of the world, that we might try them therein; and the provision of thy lord is the best and most lasting.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން ބަޔަކަށް دنيوى حياة ގެ ޒީނަތްތެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެތަކެއްޗާމެދު އެއުރެން امتحان ކުރެއްވުމަށްޓަކައި، ދެއްވި ތަކެއްޗަށް އެދިވަޑައިގެން، ކަލޭގެފާނު ނުބައްލަވާށެވެ! ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެއްވަވާ ތަކެތި ހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑެވެ. އަދި ދެމިހުރުން މާބޮޑުމެއެވެ.

and strain not your eyes in longing for the things we have given for enjoyment to various groups of them (polytheists and disbelievers in the oneness of allah), the splendour of the life of this world that we may test them thereby. but the provision (good reward in the hereafter) of your lord is better and more lasting.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން ބަޔަކަށް دنيوى حياة ގެ ޒީނަތްތެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެތަކެއްޗާމެދު އެއުރެން امتحان ކުރެއްވުމަށްޓަކައި، ދެއްވި ތަކެއްޗަށް އެދިވަޑައިގެން، ކަލޭގެފާނު ނުބައްލަވާށެވެ! ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެއްވަވާ ތަކެތި ހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑެވެ. އަދި ދެމިހުރުން މާބޮޑުމެއެވެ.
