and remember thou thy lord within thyself with humility and fear, without loudness in word, in the morning and evenings; and be thou not of the negligent.
(நபியே!) நீர் உம் மனதிற்குள் மிக்க பணிவோடும், அச்சத்தோடும் (மெதுவாக) உரத்த சப்தமின்றி காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் உம் இறைவனின் (திருநாமத்தை) திக்ரு செய்து கொண்டு இருப்பீராக! (அவனை) மறந்து விட்டிருப்போரில் ஒருவராக நீர் இருக்க வேண்டாம்.

o you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not.
முஃமினகளே! நீங்கள் நபியின் சப்தத்திற்கு மேலே, உங்கள் சப்தங்களை உயர்த்தாதீர்கள்; மேலும், உங்களுக்குள் ஒருவர் மற்றொருவருடன் இரைந்து பேசவதைப் போல், அவரிடம் நீங்கள் இரைந்து போசாதீர்கள், (இவற்றால்) நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ள முடியாத நிலையில் உங்கள் அமல்கள் அழிந்து போகும்.

and do thou (o reader!) bring thy lord to remembrance in thy (very) soul, with humility and in reverence, without loudness in words, in the mornings and evenings; and be not thou of those who are unheedful.
