and when affliction visits you upon the sea, then there go astray those on whom you call except him; and when he delivers you to land, you turn away; man is ever unthankful.

o ye who believe! answer allah and the apostle when he calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that verily allah interposeth between a man and his heart, and that verily unto him ye all shall be gathered.

and when he showed them to you, when you met, as few in your eyes and he made you to appear little in their eyes, in order that allah might bring about a matter which was to be done, and to allah are all affairs returned.
நீங்களும் அவர்களும் (போரில்) சந்தித்தபோது அவன் உங்களுடைய பார்வையில் அவர்களுடைய எண்ணிக்கையைக் குறைவாகக் காண்பித்தான்; இன்னும் உங்கள் (தொகையை) அவர்களுடைய பார்வையில் குறைவாகக் காண்பித்தான் - இவ்வாறு அவன் செய்தது, அவன் விதித்த ஒரு காரியத்தை அவன் நிறைவேற்றுவதற்காகவேயாகும் - அல்லாஹ்விடமே எல்லாக் காரியங்களும் சென்று முடிவடைகின்றன.

and allah has provided you shade with the things he has created, and created for you refuge in the hills, and created some clothing for you to protect you from the heat, and some clothing to protect you during conflict; this is how he completes his favour upon you, so that you may obey.
இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் தான் படைத்துள்ளவற்றிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு நிழல்களையும் ஏற்படுத்தினான்; மலைகளிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு(த் தங்குமிடங்களாக) குகைகளையும் ஏற்படுத்தினான்; இன்னும் வெப்பத்திலிருந்து உங்களைப் பாதுகாக்கக்கூடிய சட்டைகளையும் உங்களுடைய போரில் உங்களை பாதுகாக்கக்கூடிய கவசங்களையும் உங்களுக்காக அமைத்தான்; நீங்கள் (அவனுக்கு) முற்றிலும் வழிப்பட்டு நடப்பதாக, இவ்வாறு தன் அருட்கொடையை உங்களுக்குப் பூர்த்தியாக்கினான்.

it is he indeed who sends you to death at night, and knows what you do in the day, then makes you rise with it again in order that the fixed term of life be fulfilled. then to him you will be returned when he will tell you what you did.
