የእግዚአብሔር እንጀራ ከሰማይ የሚወርድ ለዓለምም ሕይወትን የሚሰጥ ነውና አላቸው።
for the bread of god is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

አብ ሙታንን እንደሚያነሣ ሕይወትም እንደሚሰጣቸው፥ እንዲሁ ወልድ ደግሞ ለሚወዳቸው ሕይወትን ይሰጣቸዋል።
for as the father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the son quickeneth whom he will.

ሕይወትን ሊወድ መልካሞችንም ቀኖች ሊያይ የሚፈልግ ሰው፥ መላሱን ከክፉ ከንፈሮቹንም ተንኰልን ከመናገር ይከልክል፤
for he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

በልጁ የሚያምን የዘላለም ሕይወት አለው፤ በልጁ የማያምን ግን የእግዚአብሔር ቍጣ በእርሱ ላይ ይኖራል እንጂ ሕይወትን አያይም።
he that believeth on the son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the son shall not see life; but the wrath of god abideth on him.

እርሱም ደግሞ በመንፈስ እንጂ በፊደል ለማይሆን ለአዲስ ኪዳን አገልጋዮች እንሆን ዘንድ አበቃን፤ ፊደል ይገድላልና መንፈስ ግን ሕይወትን ይሰጣል።
who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

ያ የትኛችሁ ሥራው ይበልጥ ያማረ መኾኑን ሊሞክራችሁ ሞትንና ሕይወትን የፈጠረ ነው ፡ ፡ እርሱም አሸናፊው መሓሪው ነው ፡ ፡
[ he ] who created death and life to test you [ as to ] which of you is best in deed - and he is the exalted in might , the forgiving -

እንግዲህ በአንድ በደል ምክንያት ፍርድ ለኵነኔ ወደ ሰው ሁሉ እንደ መጣ፥ እንዲሁም በአንድ ጽድቅ ምክንያት ስጦታው ሕይወትን ለማጽደቅ ወደ ሰው ሁሉ መጣ።
therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

እርሱም በመንገድ ሲወጣ አንድ ሰው ወደ እርሱ ሮጦ ተንበረከከለትና። ቸር መምህር ሆይ፥ የዘላለም ሕይወትን እወርስ ዘንድ ምን ላድርግ? ብሎ ጠየቀው።
and when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, good master, what shall i do that i may inherit eternal life?

ነገር ግን ኢየሱስን ከሙታን ያስነሣው የእርሱ መንፈስ በእናንተ ዘንድ ቢኖር፥ ክርስቶስ ኢየሱስን ከሙታን ያስነሣው እርሱ በእናንተ በሚኖረው በመንፈሱ፥ ለሚሞተው ሰውነታችሁ ደግሞ ሕይወትን ይሰጠዋል።
but if the spirit of him that raised up jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you.
