ለእነዚያም ለማያምኑት ባላችሁበት ሁኔታ ላይ ሥሩ ፤ እኛ ሠሪዎች ነንና በላቸው ፡ ፡

for god hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
እግዚአብሔር ሁሉን ይምር ዘንድ ሁሉን በአለመታዘዝ ዘግቶታልና።

i believe that he is god my lord and i do not consider anything equal to him . "
« እኔ ግን እርሱ አላህ ጌታዬ ነው ፤ ( እላለሁ ) ፡ ፡ በጌታዬም አንድንም አላጋራም ፡ ፡

whom i would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
አንተም ልቤ እንደሚሆን ተቀበለው። እኔስ በወንጌል እስራት ስለ አንተ እንዲያገለግለኝ ለራሴ ላስቀረው እፈቅድ ነበር፥

and he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
እርሱም የአካሉ ማለት የቤተ ክርስቲያን ራስ ነው። እርሱም በሁሉ ፊተኛ ይሆን ዘንድ፥ መጀመሪያ ከሙታንም በኵር ነው።

but he tarried not long , and said , ' i have comprehended that which thou hast not comprehended , and i have come from sheba to thee with a sure tiding .
( ወፉ ) ዕሩቅ ያልኾነንም ጊዜ ቆዬ ፡ ፡ አለም « ያላወቅከውን ነገር አወቅኩ ፡ ፡ ከሰበእም እርግጠኛን ወሬ አመጣሁልህ ፡ ፡

and desired of him letters to damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto jerusalem.
በዚህ መንገድ ያሉትንም ሰዎች ወንዶችንም ሴቶችንም ቢያገኝ፥ እያሰረ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ያመጣቸው ዘንድ በደማስቆ ላሉት ምኵራቦች ደብዳቤ ከእርሱ ለመነ።

and i come confessing to the taurat that was before me , and to allow unto you some of that which was forbidden unto you . so and i have come unto you with a sign from your lord wherefore fear allah and obey me .
« ከተውራትም ከእኔ በፊት ያለውን ያረጋገጥሁ ስኾን የዚያንም በእናንተ ላይ እርም የተደረገውን ከፊል ለእናንተ እፈቅድ ዘንድ ( መጣኋችሁ ) ከጌታችሁም በኾነ ታምር መጣሁዋችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ፍሩ ፤ ታዘዙኝም ፡ ፡ »

he replied , " certainly you have come to know that these have been sent by the lord of the heavens and the earth as lessons to people . pharaoh , i believe that you are doomed to perdition .
( ሙሳም ) « እነዚህን ( ተዓምራቶች ) መገሰጫዎች ሲኾኑ የሰማያትና የምድር ጌታ እንጂ ሌላ እንዳላወረዳቸው በእርግጥ ዐውቀሃል ፡ ፡ እኔም ፈርዖን ሆይ ! የምትጠፋ መኾንህን በእርግጥ እጠረጥርሃለሁ » አለው ፡ ፡

but the hoopoe stayed not long and said , " i have encompassed [ in knowledge ] that which you have not encompassed , and i have come to you from sheba with certain news .
( ወፉ ) ዕሩቅ ያልኾነንም ጊዜ ቆዬ ፡ ፡ አለም « ያላወቅከውን ነገር አወቅኩ ፡ ፡ ከሰበእም እርግጠኛን ወሬ አመጣሁልህ ፡ ፡

and [ i have come ] confirming what was before me of the torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you . and i have come to you with a sign from your lord , so fear allah and obey me .
« ከተውራትም ከእኔ በፊት ያለውን ያረጋገጥሁ ስኾን የዚያንም በእናንተ ላይ እርም የተደረገውን ከፊል ለእናንተ እፈቅድ ዘንድ ( መጣኋችሁ ) ከጌታችሁም በኾነ ታምር መጣሁዋችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ፍሩ ፤ ታዘዙኝም ፡ ፡ »

and a verifier of that which is before me of the taurat and that i may allow you part of that which has been forbidden t you , and i have come to you with a sign from your lord therefore be careful of ( your duty to ) allah and obey me .
« ከተውራትም ከእኔ በፊት ያለውን ያረጋገጥሁ ስኾን የዚያንም በእናንተ ላይ እርም የተደረገውን ከፊል ለእናንተ እፈቅድ ዘንድ ( መጣኋችሁ ) ከጌታችሁም በኾነ ታምር መጣሁዋችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ፍሩ ፤ ታዘዙኝም ፡ ፡ »

and i have come confirming that which was before me of the taurat ( torah ) , and to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you , and i have come to you with a proof from your lord . so fear allah and obey me .
« ከተውራትም ከእኔ በፊት ያለውን ያረጋገጥሁ ስኾን የዚያንም በእናንተ ላይ እርም የተደረገውን ከፊል ለእናንተ እፈቅድ ዘንድ ( መጣኋችሁ ) ከጌታችሁም በኾነ ታምር መጣሁዋችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ፍሩ ፤ ታዘዙኝም ፡ ፡ »

and we brought the people of israel across the sea , but the pharaoh and his army pursued them wickedly and maliciously till he was on the point of drowning , and he said : " i believe that there is no god but he in whom the people of israel believe , and i submit to him . "
የእስራኤልንም ልጆች ባሕሩን አሳለፍናቸው ፡ ፡ ፈርዖንና ሰራዊቱም ወሰን ለማለፍና ለመበደል ተከተሏቸው ፡ ፡ መስጠምም ባገኘው ጊዜ ፡ - « አመንኩ ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከዚያ የእስራኤል ልጆች በርሱ ከአመኑበት በስተቀር ሌላ አምላክ የለም ፡ ፡ እኔም ከታዛዦቹ ነኝ » አለ ፡ ፡

and we led the children of israel across the sea . then pharaoh and his hosts pursued them in iniquity and transgression until pharaoh cried out while he was drowning : ' i believe that there is no god but allah in whom the children of israel believe , and i am also one of those who submit to allah .
የእስራኤልንም ልጆች ባሕሩን አሳለፍናቸው ፡ ፡ ፈርዖንና ሰራዊቱም ወሰን ለማለፍና ለመበደል ተከተሏቸው ፡ ፡ መስጠምም ባገኘው ጊዜ ፡ - « አመንኩ ፡ ፡ እነሆ ከዚያ የእስራኤል ልጆች በርሱ ከአመኑበት በስተቀር ሌላ አምላክ የለም ፡ ፡ እኔም ከታዛዦቹ ነኝ » አለ ፡ ፡

indeed there have come to you clear proofs from your lord ; whoever will therefore see , it is for his own soul and whoever will be blind , it shall be against himself and i am not a keeper over you .
« ከጌታችሁ ዘንድ ብርሃኖች በእርግጥ መጡላችሁ ፡ ፡ የተመለከተም ሰው ( ጥቅሙ ) ለነፍሱ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ የታወረም ሰው ( ጉዳቱ ) በራሱ ላይ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ እኔም በእናንተ ላይ ጠባቂ አይደለሁም » ( በላቸው ) ፡ ፡

" and ( appoint him ) a messenger to the children of israel , ( with this message ) : " ' i have come to you , with a sign from your lord , in that i make for you out of clay , as it were , the figure of a bird , and breathe into it , and it becomes a bird by allah 's leave : and i heal those born blind , and the lepers , and i quicken the dead , by allah 's leave ; and i declare to you what ye eat , and what ye store in your houses . surely therein is a sign for you if ye did believe ;
ወደ እስራኤልም ልጆች መልክተኛ ያደርገዋል ፡ ፡ ( ይላልም ) ፡ - « እኔ ከጌታዬ ዘንድ በተዓምር ወደ እናንተ መጣሁ ፡ ፡ እኔ ለናንተ ከጭቃ እንደ ወፍ ቅርፅ እፈጥራለሁ ፡ ፡ በርሱም እተነፍስበታለሁ ፡ ፡ በአላህም ፈቃድ ወፍ ይኾናል ፡ ፡ በአላህም ፈቃድ ዕውር ኾኖ የተወለደን ፣ ለምጸኛንም አድናለሁ ፡ ፡ ሙታንንም አስነሳለሁ ፡ ፡ የምትበሉትንና በቤታችሁ የምታደልቡትንም ሁሉ እነግራችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ የምታምኑ እንደኾናችሁ ለእናንተ በዚህ ውስጥ በእርግጥ ተዓምር አለበት ፡ ፡ »
