فترأس ابيمالك على اسرائيل ثلاث سنين.

فخرج جعل امام اهل شكيم وحارب ابيمالك.

ثم ذهب ابيمالك الى تاباص ونزل في تاباص واخذها.

فأخبر ابيمالك ان كل اهل برج شكيم قد اجتمعوا.

and when the men of israel saw that abimelech was dead, they departed every man unto his place.
ولما رأى رجال اسرائيل ان ابيمالك قد مات ذهب كل واحد الى مكانه.

and abimelech said, behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
وقال ابيمالك هوذا ارضي قدامك. اسكن في ما حسن في عينيك.

and abimelech said unto abraham, what mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?
فقال ابيمالك لابراهيم ما هذه السبع النعاج التي اقمتها وحدها.

but abimelech had not come near her: and he said, lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?
ولكن لم يكن ابيمالك قد اقترب اليها. فقال يا سيد أأمة بارة تقتل.

then abimelech went to him from gerar, and ahuzzath one of his friends, and phichol the chief captain of his army.
وذهب اليه من جرار ابيمالك وأحزّات من اصحابه وفيكول رئيس جيشه.

for the lord had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of abimelech, because of sarah abraham's wife.
لان الرب كان قد اغلق كل رحم لبيت ابيمالك بسبب سارة امرأة ابراهيم

so abraham prayed unto god: and god healed abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
فصلّى ابراهيم الى الله. فشفى الله ابيمالك وامرأته وجواريه فولدن.

if ye then have dealt truly and sincerely with jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice ye in abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:
فان كنتم قد عملتم بالحق والصحة مع يربعل ومع بيته في هذا اليوم فافرحوا انتم بابيمالك وليفرح هو ايضا بكم.

therefore abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.
فبكّر ابيمالك في الغد ودعا جميع عبيده وتكلم بكل هذا الكلام في مسامعهم. فخاف الرجال جدا.

and abimelech said, what is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.
فقال ابيمالك ما هذا الذي صنعت بنا. لولا قليل لاضطجع احد الشعب مع امرأتك فجلبت علينا ذنبا.

and gaal the son of ebed went out, and stood in the entering of the gate of the city: and abimelech rose up, and the people that were with him, from lying in wait.
فخرج جعل بن عابد ووقف في مدخل باب المدينة. فقام ابيمالك والشعب الذي معه من المكمن.

thus they made a covenant at beer-sheba: then abimelech rose up, and phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the philistines.
فقطعا ميثاقا في بئر سبع. ثم قام ابيمالك وفيكول رئيس جيشه ورجعا الى ارض الفلسطينيين.

and he sent messengers unto abimelech privily, saying, behold, gaal the son of ebed and his brethren be come to shechem; and, behold, they fortify the city against thee.
وارسل رسلا الى ابيمالك في ترمة يقول هوذا جعل بن عابد واخوته قد اتوا الى شكيم وها هم يهيجون المدينة ضدك.

and abimelech, and the company that was with him, rushed forward, and stood in the entering of the gate of the city: and the two other companies ran upon all the people that were in the fields, and slew them.
وابيمالك والفرقة التي معه اقتحموا ووقفوا في مدخل باب المدينة. واما الفرقتان فهجمتا على كل من في الحقل وضربتاه.

and abimelech called isaac, and said, behold, of a surety she is thy wife: and how saidst thou, she is my sister? and isaac said unto him, because i said, lest i die for her.
فدعا ابيمالك اسحق وقال انما هي امرأتك. فكيف قلت هي اختي. فقال له اسحق لاني قلت لعلي اموت بسببها.
