and the lord god took the man, and put him into the garden of eden to dress it and to keep it.
Տէր Աստուած իր ստեղծած մարդուն տեղաւորեց բերկրութեան դրախտում, որպէսզի սա մշակի ու պահպանի այն:

and the lord god planted a garden eastward in eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Աստուած դրախտ տնկեց Եդեմում՝ արեւելեան կողմը, եւ այնտեղ դրեց իր ստեղծած մարդուն:

and the lord god commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Տէր Աստուած պատուիրեց Ադամին ու ասաց. «Դրախտում ամէն ծառի պտուղներից կարող ես ուտել,

and a river went out of eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
Գետ էր բխում Եդեմից, որպէսզի ոռոգէր դրախտը, եւ այնտեղից բաժանւում էր չորս ճիւղերի:

and he said, i heard thy voice in the garden, and i was afraid, because i was naked; and i hid myself.
Ադամը պատասխանեց. «Լսեցի քո ձայնն այստեղ՝ դրախտում, ամաչեցի, որովհետեւ մերկ էի, եւ թաքնուեցի»:

one of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear peter cut off, saith, did not i see thee in the garden with him?
Եւ քահանայապետի ծառաներից մէկը՝ նրա՛ ազգականը, որի ականջը Պետրոսը կտրել էր, ասաց. «Չէ՞ որ ես ինքս տեսայ քեզ նրա հետ պարտէզում»:

and they heard the voice of the lord god walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the lord god amongst the trees of the garden.
Երեկոյեան նրանք լսեցին Տէր Աստծու՝ դրախտում շրջագայելու ոտնաձայնը, եւ Ադամն ու իր կինը Տէր Աստծուց թաքնուեցին դրախտի ծառերի մէջ:

so he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of eden cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Աստուած դուրս հանեց Ադամին, բնակեցրեց բերկրութեան դրախտի դիմաց եւ հրամայեց քերովբէներին ու բոցեղէն սրին շուրջանակի հսկել դէպի կենաց ծառը տանող ճանապարհները:

and out of the ground made the lord god to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Տէր Աստուած երկրից բուսցրեց նաեւ ամէն տեսակի գեղեցկատեսիլ ու համեղ մրգեր տուող ծառեր, իսկ կենաց ծառը՝ բարու եւ չարի գիտութեան ծառը, տնկեց դրախտի մէջտեղում:

now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the lord god had made. and he said unto the woman, yea, hath god said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Օձը երկրի վրայ Աստծու ստեղծած բոլոր գազաններից աւելի խորամանկ էր: Օձն ասաց կնոջը. «Ինչո՞ւ Աստուած ասաց, թէ դրախտում գտնուող բոլոր ծառերի պտուղներից չէք կարող ուտել»:

and lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the lord destroyed sodom and gomorrah, even as the garden of the lord, like the land of egypt, as thou comest unto zoar.
Ղովտն աչքերը բարձրացրեց ու տեսաւ, որ Յորդանանի բոլոր շրջաններն էլ ոռոգելի են: Քանի դեռ Աստուած չէր կործանել Սոդոմն ու Գոմորը, մինչեւ Զոորայի սահմանը Աստծու դրախտի նման էր, Եգիպտացւոց երկրի նման:
