then we loosed against them a wind clamorous in days of ill fortune, that we might let them taste the chastisement of degradation in the present life; and the chastisement of the world to come is even more degrading, and they shall not be helped.
ஆதலினால், இவ்வுலக வாழ்வில் அவர்கள் இழிவு தரும் வேதனையைச் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்ய, கெட்ட நாட்களில் அவர்கள் மீது ஒரு கொடிய புயல் காற்றை அனுப்பினோம் மேலும், மறுமையிலுள்ள வேதனையோ மிகவும் இழிவுள்ளதாகும் அன்றியும் அவர்கள் (எவராலும்) உதவி செய்யப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.

o my people! this life of the world is only a (passing) enjoyment, and surely the hereafter is the abode to settle;
"என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் அற்ப சுகம்தான்; அன்றியும் நிச்சயமாக, மறுமையோ - அதுதான் (என்றென்றுமிருக்கும்) நிலையான வீடு.

the life of the world is just play and diversion, but if you are faithful and godwary, he will give you your rewards, and will not ask your wealth [in return] from you.

"என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் அற்ப சுகம்தான்; அன்றியும் நிச்சயமாக, மறுமையோ - அதுதான் (என்றென்றுமிருக்கும்) நிலையான வீடு.

and this life of the world is but: sport and play. verily the home of the hereafter--that is life indeed, if they but knew!
இன்னும், இவ்வுலக வாழ்கை வீணும் விளையாட்டுமேயன்றி வேறில்லை - இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக மறுமைக்குரிய வீடு திடமாக அதுவே (நித்தியமான) வாழ்வாகும் - இவர்கள் (இதை) அறிந்திருந்தால்.

and this life of the world is nothing but a sport and a play; and as for the next abode, that most surely is the life-- did they but know!
இன்னும், இவ்வுலக வாழ்கை வீணும் விளையாட்டுமேயன்றி வேறில்லை - இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக மறுமைக்குரிய வீடு திடமாக அதுவே (நித்தியமான) வாழ்வாகும் - இவர்கள் (இதை) அறிந்திருந்தால்.

allah grants the provision to whomsoever he wills abundantly and grants others in strict measure. they exult in the life of the world, although compared with the hereafter, the life of the world is no more than temporary enjoyment.
அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவருக்கு சம்பத்தை விசாலமாக்குகிறான்; (தான் நாடியவருக்கு) அளவிட்டுக் கொடுக்கின்றான்; எனினும் அவர்கள் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறார்கள் - இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையோ மறுமைக்கு ஒப்பிடாமல் மிகவும் அற்பமேயன்றி வேறில்லை.

allah enlargeth livelihood for whom he will, and straiteneth (it for whom he will); and they rejoice in the life of the world, whereas the life of the world is but brief comfort as compared with the hereafter.
அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவருக்கு சம்பத்தை விசாலமாக்குகிறான்; (தான் நாடியவருக்கு) அளவிட்டுக் கொடுக்கின்றான்; எனினும் அவர்கள் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறார்கள் - இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையோ மறுமைக்கு ஒப்பிடாமல் மிகவும் அற்பமேயன்றி வேறில்லை.

and this life of the world is only amusement and play! verily, the home of the hereafter, that is the life indeed (i.e. the eternal life that will never end), if they but knew

every soul shall taste of death and only on the day of resurrection ye will be repaid your hire in full. then whosoever shall be removed far away from the fire and made to enter into the garden, he indeed hath achieved the goal; and the life of the world is naught but an illusory enjoyment.
ஒவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும் மரணத்தைச் சுகித்தே ஆகவேண்டும்; அன்றியும் - இறுதித் தீர்ப்பு நாளில் தான், உங்க(ள் செய்கைக)ளுக்குரிய பிரதி பலன்கள் முழுமையாகக் கொடுக்கப்படும்;. எனவே எவர் (நரக) நெருப்பிலிருந்து பாதுகாக்கப்பட்டுச் சுவர்க்கத்தில் பிரவேசிக்குமாறு செய்யப்படுகிறாரோ. அவர் நிச்சயமாக வெற்றியடைந்து விட்டார்;. இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை மயக்கத்தை அளிக்கவல்ல (அற்ப இன்பப்) பொருளேயன்றி வேறில்லை.

said the council of the unbelievers of his people, who cried lies to the encounter of the world to come, and to whom we had given ease in the present' life, 'this is naught but a mortal like yourselves, who eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink.
ஆனால், அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரில் காஃபிர்களாய் இருந்த தலைவர்களும் இன்னும் இறுதி தீர்ப்பு நாளை சந்திப்பதைப் பொய்ப்படுத்த முற்பட்டார்களே அவர்களும், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் விசாலமான (சகானுபவங்களைக்) கொடுத்திருந்தோமே அவர்களும், (தம் சமூகத்தாரிடம்) "இவர் உங்களைப் போன்ற ஒரு மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை நீங்கள் உண்பதையே அவரும் உண்கிறார்; நீங்கள் குடிப்பதையே அவரும் குடிக்கிறார்.

"o my people! truly, this life of the world is nothing but a (quick passing) enjoyment, and verily, the hereafter that is the home that will remain forever."
