Have you not seen those who have become hypocrites ? They say to those of their brethren who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book : If you are driven forth , we shall certainly go forth with you , and we will never obey any one concerning you , and if you are fought against , we will certainly help you , and Allah bears witness that they are most surely liars .
क्या तुमने उन लोगों को नहीं देखा जिन्होंने कपटाचार की नीति अपनाई हैं , वे अपने किताबवाले उन भाइयों से , जो इनकार की नीति अपनाए हुए है , कहते है , " यदि तुम्हें निकाला गया तो हम भी अवश्य ही तुम्हारे साथ निकल जाएँगे और तुम्हारे मामले में किसी की बात कभी भी नहीं मानेंगे । और यदि तुमसे युद्ध किया गया तो हम अवश्य तुम्हारी सहायता करेंगे । " किन्तु अल्लाह गवाही देता है कि वे बिलकुल झूठे है

Hast thou not observed the Hypocrites say to their misbelieving brethren among the People of the Book ? - " If ye are expelled , we too will go out with you , and we will never hearken to any one in your affair ; and if ye are attacked we will help you " . But Allah is witness that they are indeed liars .
क्या तुमने उन मुनाफ़िकों की हालत पर नज़र नहीं की जो अपने काफ़िर भाइयों अहले किताब से कहा करते हैं कि अगर कहीं तुम निकाले गए तो यक़ीन जानों कि हम भी तुम्हारे साथ निकल खड़े होंगे और तुम्हारे बारे में कभी किसी की इताअत न करेंगे और अगर तुमसे लड़ाई होगी तो ज़रूर तुम्हारी मदद करेंगे , मगर ख़ुदा बयान किए देता है कि ये लोग यक़ीनन झूठे हैं

O you who believe ! when you go to war in Allah ' s way , make investigation , and do not say to any one who offers you peace : You are not a believer . Do you seek goods of this world ' s life ! But with Allah there are abundant gains ; you too were such before , then Allah conferred a benefit on you ; therefore make investigation ; surely Allah is aware of what you do .
ऐ ईमानदारों जब तुम ख़ुदा की राह में सफ़र करो तो अच्छी तरह जॉच कर लिया करो और जो शख्स तुम्हे सलाम करे तो तुम बे सोचे समझे न कह दिया करो कि तू ईमानदार नहीं है कि तुम दुनियावी आसाइश की तमन्ना रखते हो मगर इसी बहाने क़त्ल करके लूट लो और ये नहीं समझते कि तो ख़ुदा के यहॉ बहुत से ग़नीमतें हैं पहले तुम ख़ुद भी तो ऐसे ही थे फिर ख़ुदा ने तुमपर एहसान किया ग़रज़ ख़ूब छानबीन कर लिया करो बेशक ख़ुदा तुम्हारे हर काम से ख़बरदार है

क्या तुमने उन मुनाफ़िकों की हालत पर नज़र नहीं की जो अपने काफ़िर भाइयों अहले किताब से कहा करते हैं कि अगर कहीं तुम निकाले गए तो यक़ीन जानों कि हम भी तुम्हारे साथ निकल खड़े होंगे और तुम्हारे बारे में कभी किसी की इताअत न करेंगे और अगर तुमसे लड़ाई होगी तो ज़रूर तुम्हारी मदद करेंगे , मगर ख़ुदा बयान किए देता है कि ये लोग यक़ीनन झूठे हैं

Your Lord has decreed : Do not worship any but Him ; Be good to your parents ; and should both or any one of them attain old age with you , do not say to them even " fie " neither chide them , but speak to them with respect ,
तुम्हारे रब ने फ़ैसला कर दिया है कि उसके सिवा किसी की बन्दगी न करो और माँ - बाप के साथ अच्छा व्यवहार करो । यदि उनमें से कोई एक या दोनों ही तुम्हारे सामने बुढ़ापे को पहुँच जाएँ तो उन्हें ' उँह ' तक न कहो और न उन्हें झिझको , बल्कि उनसे शिष्टतापूर्वक बात करो
