allah does not call you to account for what is vain in your oaths, but he calls you to account for the making of deliberate oaths; so its expiation is the feeding of ten poor men out of the middling (food) you feed your families with, or their clothing, or the freeing of a neck; but whosoever cannot find (means) then fasting for three days; this is the expiation of your oaths when you swear; and guard your oaths.

na miongoni mwenu atakaye muuwa makusudi, basi malipo yake yatakuwa kwa kuchinja kilicho sawa na alicho kiuwa, katika mifugo, kama wanavyo hukumu waadilifu wawili miongoni mwenu. mnyama huyo apelekwe kwenye al kaaba, au kutoa kafara kwa kuwalisha masikini; au badala ya hayo ni kufunga, ili aonje ubaya wa jambo lake hili.
and anyone among you who does so on purpose should offer livestock of equivalent value, determined by two honourable persons among you, (as atonement), to be brought to the ka'bah as an offering; or else expiate by giving food to the poor, or its equivalent in fasting, so that he may realise the gravity of his deed.
