Այս է Եսաւի, այսինքն՝ Եդոմի ծննդաբանութիւնը:
now these are the generations of esau, who is edom.

Յակոբն ինքը եւ իր հետ եղած ամբողջ ժողովուրդը եկան Լուզ, այսինքն՝ Բեթէլ, որը գտնւում է Քանանացիների երկրում:
so jacob came to luz, which is in the land of canaan, that is, bethel, he and all the people that were with him.

արու եւ էգ ստեղծեց նրանց, օրհնեց եւ ադամ, այսինքն՝ մարդ անուանեց նրանց այն օրը, երբ ստեղծեց նրանց:
male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name adam, in the day when they were created.

Սոդոմացիների արքան, գոմորացիների արքան, ադամաացիների արքան, սեբոյիմացիների արքան ու Բաղակի՝ այսինքն Սեգորի արքան ելան եւ Աղի ձորում ճակատամարտ տուեցին
and there went out the king of sodom, and the king of gomorrah, and the king of admah, and the king of zeboiim, and the king of bela (the same is zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of siddim;

Երբ նա վերադառնում էր Քոդողագոմորին եւ նրա հետ եղած թագաւորներին կոտորելուց, Շաւէի ձորում, այսինքն՝ Թագաւորների դաշտում նրան ընդառաջ գնաց սոդոմացիների արքան:
and the king of sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of shaveh, which is the king's dale.

Այդ իսկ պատճառով ջրհորը կոչուեց Ջրհոր, այսինքն՝ «որի դիմաց տեսայ Աստծուն»: Այն գտնւում է Կադէսի ու Բարադի միջեւ:
wherefore the well was called beer-lahai-roi; behold, it is between kadesh and bered.

Ահա ես նրան օգնական եմ տալիս Դանի ցեղից Աքիսամի որդի Եղիաբին: Ամէն մի ուշիմ մարդու հոգու մէջ դրի շնորհ, որպէսզի անի այն, ինչ պատուիրել եմ քեզ, այսինքն՝
and i, behold, i have given with him aholiab, the son of ahisamach, of the tribe of dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted i have put wisdom, that they may make all that i have commanded thee;

Յակոբը եկաւ իր հայր Իսահակի մօտ, Մամբրէի կողմերում դաշտային մի քաղաք, այսինքն՝ Քեբրոն, որ գտնւում է Քանանացիների երկրում, ուր պանդխտեցին Աբրահամն ու Իսահակը:
and jacob came unto isaac his father unto mamre, unto the city of arbah, which is hebron, where abraham and isaac sojourned.

Եփրեմին ունենալով իր աջ կողմում, այսինքն՝ Իսրայէլի ձախ կողմում, եւ Մանասէին իր ձախ կողմում, այսինքն՝ Իսրայէլի աջ կողմում, ու մօտեցրեց նրան:
and joseph took them both, ephraim in his right hand toward israel's left hand, and manasseh in his left hand toward israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him.

Ժամը երեքի մօտ Յիսուս բարձր ձայնով գոչեց ու ասաց. «Էլի՜, Էլի՜, լա՞մա սաբաքթանի», այսինքն՝ Աստուա՜ծ իմ, Աստուա՜ծ իմ, ինչո՞ւ թողեցիր ինձ:
and about the ninth hour jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, eli, eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, my god, my god, why hast thou forsaken me?
