ኢየሱስም ሁለተኛ በታላቅ ድምፅ ጮኾ ነፍሱን ተወ።
jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

መልካም እረኛ እኔ ነኝ። መልካም እረኛ ነፍሱን ስለ በጎቹ ያኖራል።
i am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

ነፍሱን ስለ ወዳጆቹ ከመስጠት ይልቅ ከዚህ የሚበልጥ ፍቅር ለማንም የለውም።
greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

እንዲሁ የሰው ልጅም ሊያገለግልና ነፍሱን ለብዙዎች ቤዛ ሊሰጥ እንጂ እንዲያገለግሉት አልመጣም።
for even the son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

ነፍሱን የሚያገኝ ያጠፋታል፥ ነፍሱንም ስለ እኔ የሚያጠፋ ያገኛታል።
he that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

ነፍሱን ሊያድን የሚወድ ሁሉ ያጠፋታል፤ ስለ እኔ ግን ነፍሱን የሚያጠፋ ሁሉ ያገኛታል።
for whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

ነፍሱን ሊያድን የሚወድ ሁሉ ያጠፋታልና፤ ስለ እኔ ነፍሱን የሚያጠፋ ሁሉ ግን እርሱ ያድናታል።
for whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

ኃጢአተኛን ከተሳሳተበት መንገድ የሚመልሰው ነፍሱን ከሞት እንዲያድን፥ የኃጢአትንም ብዛት እንዲሸፍን ይወቅ።
let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

ጻድቅ ሎጥም በመካከላቸው ሲኖር እያየና እየሰማ ዕለት ዕለት በዓመፀኛ ሥራቸው ጻድቅ ነፍሱን አስጨንቆ ነበርና በዓመፀኞች ሴሰኛ ኑሮ የተገፋውን ያን ጻድቅ ካዳነ፥
and delivered just lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

በዚያም በአንጻሩ የቆመ የመቶ አለቃ እንደዚህ ጮኾ ነፍሱን እንደ ሰጠ ባየ ጊዜ። ይህ ሰው በእውነት የእግዚአብሔር ልጅ ነበረ አለ።
and when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, truly this man was the son of god.

ከሰዎችም ውስጥ የአላህን ውዴታ ለመፈለግ ነፍሱን የሚሸጥ ሰው አልለ ፡ ፡ አላህም ለባሮቹ በጣም ርኅሩህ ነው ፡ ፡
and among men is he who sells himself to seek the pleasure of allah ; and allah is affectionate to the servants .

መጥፎም የሚሠራ ሰው ወይም ነፍሱን የሚበድል ከዚያም ( ተጸጽቶ ) አላህን ምሕረት የሚለምን አላህን መሓሪ አዛኝ ኾኖ ያገኘዋል ፡ ፡
and whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of allah will find allah forgiving and merciful .

( ዘመዶቻቸውን ) ያዩዋቸዋል ፡ ፡ አመጸኛው ከዚያ ቀን ስቃይ ( ነፍሱን ) በልጆቹ ሊበዥ ይመኛል ፡ ፡
( though ) they shall be made to see each other . the guilty one would fain redeem himself from the chastisement of that day by ( sacrificing ) his children ,
