"bulahan kamong mga gigutom karon, kay pagabusgon ra unya kamo.
blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

"bulahan ang mga gigutom ug gi-uhaw sa pagkamatarung, kay sila pagabusgon.
blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

ug sa sunod nga adlaw, sa naglakaw sila gikan sa betania, si jesus gigutom.
and on the morrow, when they were come from bethany, he was hungry:

kay ginatagbaw niya ang kalag nga nagapangandoy, ug ginapuno niya sa kaayohan ang kalag nga gigutom.
for he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

kay ako gigutom ug wala ninyo ako pakan-a, ako giuhaw ug wala ako ninyo paimna,
for i was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: i was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

ang mga gigutom iyang gibusog sa mga maayong butang, ug ang mga dato iyang gipapahawa nga walay mga dala,
he hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.

ug didto pagapapuy-on niya ang mga gigutom, aron sila magaandam ug ciudad nga puloy-anan,
and there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;

kay gigutom ako ug inyo ako nga gipakaon, giuhaw ako ug inyo ako nga gipainom, nadumoloong ako ug gihinangop ninyo ang pagpasaka kanako,
for i was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: i was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: i was a stranger, and ye took me in:

siya nga nagabuhat sa justicia sa mga dinaugdaug; siya nga nagahatag sa makaon sa mga gigutom. si jehova nagapagawas sa mga binilanggo;
which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. the lord looseth the prisoners:

ang busog nga kalag ginaluod sa udlan; apan alang sa gigutom nga kalag ang tagsatagsa ka mapait nga butang maoy matam-is.
the full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

ang iyang alanihon sa mga gigutom pagakan-on, ug kana, bisan sa katunokan pagakuhaon; ug ang giuhaw sa bahandi motulon.
whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.

kanila mitubag siya nga nag-ingon, "wala ba kamo makabasa mahitungod sa gibuhat ni david, sa diha nga gigutom siya ug ang iyang mga kauban:
but he said unto them, have ye not read what david did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

ug wala makapanlupig kang bisan kinsa, kondili nag-uli sa utangan sa iyang prenda, wala makapangawat sa bisan unsa, naghatag sa iyang tinapay sa gigutom, ug nakapabisti sa mga hubo;
and hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;

dili ba mao ang pakigbahin sa imong tinapay uban sa gigutom, ug imo nga dad-on ang kabus nga sinalikway ngadto sa imong balay? kong ikaw makakita sa hubo, nga imo siya nga tampian; ug nga ikaw dili matago gikan sa imong kaugalingon nga unod?
is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
