(he was so) because he had wealth and children.

그들을 위한 예증이 있거늘 하나님이 그들의 자손들을 짐 실 은 방주에 태웠노라
a sign for them is that we carried their progeny in the laden ship,

기뻐할 수 있는 아내와 자손들을 주옵소서 그리고 저희들이 정직한 사람들의 모범이 되도록 하여 주옵소서 라고 말하는 자들 이라
and those who pray, "our lord! grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous."

그 성서의 백성들은 그들의자손들을 알고 있듯 그를 알고 있으면서도 그들이 알고 있는 사 실을 숨기고 있도다
as for those to whom we gave the book, they recognise the place (which has now been made giblah), as clearly as they recognise their own children. but some of them are knowingly concealing the truth.
