then was jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

ⲘⲀϬⲚⲈϪⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϮⲆⲈ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϨⲢⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲆⲒⲀⲂⲞⲖⲞⲤ ⲈϤⲈⲪⲰⲦ ⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ
submit yourselves therefore to god. resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

ⲠⲒϪⲀϪⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲠⲒⲆⲒⲀⲂⲞⲖⲞⲤ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲒⲰⲤϦ ⲆⲈ ⲦϦⲀⲎ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲀⲒⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲚⲒϬⲀⲒⲞⲤϦ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲒⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲞⲤ.
the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲆⲢⲀⲔⲰⲚ ⲠⲒϨⲞϤ ⲠⲒⲀⲢⲬⲈⲞⲤ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲠⲒⲆⲒⲀⲂⲞⲖⲞⲤ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲤⲀⲦⲀⲚⲀⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲤⲞⲚϨϤ ⲚⲞⲨϢⲞ ⲚⲢⲞⲘⲠⲒ
and he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil, and satan, and bound him a thousand years,

ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲈⲢⲚⲨⲘⲪⲒⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ⲠⲒⲪⲀϢ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲠⲒⲆⲒⲀⲂⲞⲖⲞⲤ ϪⲞⲢϪϤ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲢⲀⲞⲨⲎⲞⲨⲦ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲈϨⲚⲀϤ ⲘⲪⲎ.
and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲢⲎⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲢⲒⲚⲨⲘⲪⲒⲚ ϪⲈ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚϪⲀϪⲒ ⲠⲒⲆⲒⲀⲂⲞⲖⲞⲤ ϤⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲞⲨⲒ ⲈϤϨⲈⲘϨⲈⲘ ⲈϤⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲀⲈⲘⲔ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ
be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

he that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. for this purpose the son of god was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

yet michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, the lord rebuke thee.

forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲈϤϨⲞϮ ϦⲀⲦϨⲎ ⲚⲚⲒⲘⲔⲀⲨϨ ⲈⲦⲈⲔⲚⲀϬ ⲒⲦⲞⲨ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ⲒⲤ ⲠⲒⲆⲒⲀⲂⲞⲖⲞⲤ ϤⲚⲀϨⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲠⲒϢⲦⲈⲔⲞ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲤⲈⲈⲢⲠⲒⲢⲀⲌⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲤⲈϨⲈϪϨⲈϪ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲘⲒ ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲔⲈⲚϨⲞⲦ ϢⲀ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲈⲪⲘⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲚⲀϮ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲘⲠⲒⲬⲖⲞⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲰⲚϦ.
fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and i will give thee a crown of life.

ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. he was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. when he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
