et hoc vobis signum invenietis infantem pannis involutum et positum in praesepi
and this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

quicumque ergo perfecti hoc sentiamus et si quid aliter sapitis et hoc vobis deus revelabi
let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, god shall reveal even this unto you.

et hoc vobis signum ait dominus quod visitem ego super vos in loco isto ut sciatis quia vere conplebuntur sermones mei contra vos in malu
and this shall be a sign unto you, saith the lord, that i will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

ecce omnes vos accendentes ignem accincti flammis ambulate in lumine ignis vestri et in flammis quas succendistis de manu mea factum est hoc vobis in doloribus dormieti
behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. this shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.

stans autem petrus cum undecim levavit vocem suam et locutus est eis viri iudaei et qui habitatis hierusalem universi hoc vobis notum sit et auribus percipite verba me
