frukt i overflod,
and abundant fruit,

gud har godhet i overflod.
and allah is of great bounty.

jeg gav ham rikdom i overflod,
and appointed for him ample wealth

vi har visselig gitt deg i overflod!
(muhammad), we have granted you abundant virtue.

det kommer syv år med stor overflod i hele egyptens land;
behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of egypt:

for således straffer han folkeslag, men gir også føde i overflod.
for by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

så han kan belønne dem som tror og handler rett av sin overflod.
god will reward the righteously striving believers through his favor.

men gud utmerker med sin nåde hvem han vil. gud har godhet i overflod.
but allah chooseth for his mercy whom he will, and allah is of infinite bounty.

sannelig, våre fiender er tilintetgjort, og ild har fortært deres overflod.
whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.

han bønnhører dem som tror og lever rettskaffent og gir dem mer til av sin overflod.
and accepteth those who do good works, and giveth increase unto them of his bounty.

så gi gud dig av himmelens dugg og av jordens fedme og korn og most i overflod.
therefore god give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:

men om de skilles, vil gud sørge for dem begge av sin overflod. gud er storslagen, vis.
and if the two separate, allah will make each one independent of the other, with his capability; and allah is most capable, wise.

røv sølv, røv gull! for det er ingen ende på skattene, en overflod av allehånde kostelige ting!
she is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.

han svarte: «gud har utvalgt ham for dere, og han har gitt ham overflod av kunnskap og kroppsstyrke!
allah gives his kingship to whom he will.

som skrevet står: den som sanket meget, hadde ikke overflod, og den som sanket lite, hadde ikke trang.
as it is written, he that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
