iyo habeenku markuu jeedsado.
and [by] the night when it departs

iyo habeenku markuu daboolo (madoobaado).
and [by] the night when it covers it

eebe wuxuu ku dhaartay habeenku markuu wax qariyo.
by oath of the night when it covers

markuu ku maddobaaday habeenku wuxuu arkay xiddig wuxuuna yidhi kani ma eebahaybaa, markuu dhacay wuxuu yidhi ma jedi kuwa dhaca.
so when the night became dark upon him he saw a star; he said (to azar / the people), “(you portray that) this is my lord?”; then when it set he said, “i do not like the things that set.”

eebihiin waa kan ku abuuray samooyinka iyo dhulka lix maalmood kuna istawooday carshiga, wuxuuna ku daboolaa habeenka maalinta wuuna doonaa habeenku si deg dega qorraxda, dayaxa iyo xidigahana waxaa loo sakhiray amarka eebe, eebaana abuuridda iyo amarkaba iska leh, waxaana waynaaday «oo khayrbatay» eebaha barbaariya caalamka.
indeed your lord is allah who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then in the manner befitting his majesty, ascended the throne (of control); he covers the night with the day, which hastily follows it, and made the sun and the moon and the stars subservient to his command; pay heed! only he has the power to create and command; most auspicious (propitious) is allah, the lord of the creation.
