hashii annagaa soo bixinnay jirrabkooda dartiis, ee sug kuna samir.
for we are [going to] send the she-camel as a trial for them, so watch them and be patient.

"and o my people! this she-camel of allah is a sign to you, leave her to feed on allah's earth, and touch her not with evil, lest a near torment will seize you."

waxayna dileen hashii waxayna ka madaxadaygeen amarkii eebahood, waxayna dheheen saalaxow noo keen waxaad noogu goodiyeeyso haddaad tahay mid la soo diray.
(then) they hamstrung the shecamel and defied the order of their lord, saying to salih: 'bring down that which you have promised us if you truly are one of the messengers'

umana aanaan daynin soo diridda aayado (mucjiso) inay beeniyeen kuwii hore mooyee, waxaana siinnay thamuud hashii oo wax tusisa wayna ku dulmi faleen (ka gaaloobeen) aayadaha waxaan cabsi galin ahayn uma soo dirro (dejinno).
and naught hinderedeth us from sending the signs except that the ancients belied them. and we vouchsafed unto thamud a she-camel as an illumination, but they did her wrong. and we send not the signs save to frighten.
