kuwaasi waxay mudan qayb waxay kasbadeen, eebana waa degtaa xisaabtiisu.
for such is a portion from what they have earned; and allah is swift at taking account.

waxaana u muuqday xumaantay kasbadeen, waxaana ku dhacay waxay ku jees jeesi jireen.
and the evil (consequences) of what they wrought shall become plain to them, and the very thing they mocked at shall beset them.

ha tamaniyina wuxuu kaga fadilay eebe qaarkiin qaar, ragga waxaa u sugnaaday qayb waxay kasbadeen.
and do not wish for that by which allah has made some of you exceed others. for men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned.

tuugga iyo tuugadda gooya gaemahooda abaalmarin waxay kasbadeen darteed waana xanuujin eebe ilaahayna waa adkaade falsan.
and (as for) the man who steals and the woman who steals, cut off their hands as a punishment for what they have earned, an exemplary punishment from allah; and allah is mighty, wise.

hadduu doonana (eebe) wuu halaaga doomaha waxay kasbadeen darteed wax badanna wuu ka cafiyaa.
he may, while forgiving much of the sins of those that ride these ships, drown them on account of some of their misdeeds.

ee ha qosleen wax yar (adduunka) hana ooyeen wax badan (aakhiro) iyadoo laga abaal marin waxay kasbadeen.
let them laugh a little, and weep much; in recompense for what they used to earn.
