na anaye mshirikisha mwenyezi mungu basi huyo amepotea upotovu wa mbali.
and he who associates compeers with god has indeed wandered far astray.

na mwenye kumuasi mwenyezi mungu na mtume wake basi hakika amepotea upotofu ulio wazi.
and whoever disobeys allah and his messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.

lakini atakaye kufuru miongoni mwenu baada ya hayo bila ya shaka atakuwa amepotea njia iliyo sawa.
(to honour the holy prophet – peace and blessings be upon him – is part of faith. to disrespect him is blasphemy.)

lakini yeye husamehe yasiyo kuwa hayo kwa amtakaye. na anaye mshirikisha mwenyezi mungu basi huyo amepotea upotovu wa mbali.
allah does not forgive (the greatest sin) that partners be ascribed with him – and he forgives all that is below (lesser sins) it, to whomever he wills; and whoever ascribes partners with allah has indeed wandered far astray.

kwa sababu huyu mwanangu alikuwa amekufa, kumbe yu mzima alikuwa amepotea, lakini sasa amepatikana. wakaanza kufanya sherehe.
for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. and they began to be merry.

haiwi kwa muumini mwanamume wala muumini mwanamke kuwa na khiari katika jambo, mwenyezi mungu na mtume wake wanapo kata shauri katika jambo lao. na mwenye kumuasi mwenyezi mungu na mtume wake basi hakika amepotea upotofu ulio wazi.
a faithful man or woman may not have any option in their matter, when allah and his apostle have decided on a matter, and whoever disobeys allah and his apostle has certainly strayed into manifest error.

mkisali, na mkatoa zaka, na mkawaamini mitume wangu, na mkawasaidia, na mkamkopesha mwenyezi mungu mkopo mwema, hapana shaka nitakufutieni maovu yenu na nitakuingizeni katika mabustani yapitayo mito kati yake. lakini atakaye kufuru miongoni mwenu baada ya hayo bila ya shaka atakuwa amepotea njia iliyo sawa.
and allah said: "i am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity, believe in my messengers, honour and assist them, and loan to allah a beautiful loan, verily i will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."
