na tukawaambia baada yake wana wa israili: kaeni katika nchi.
after this we told the children of israel: "dwell in the land.

na kaeni majumbani kwenu, wala msijishauwe kwa majishauwo ya kijahilia ya kizamani.
and abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance.

nyumba yoyote mtakayoingia na kukaribishwa, kaeni humo mpaka mtakapoondoka katika kijiji hicho.
and whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.

tena aliwaambia, "popote mtakapokaribishwa nyumbani, kaeni humo mpaka mtakapoondoka mahali hapo.
and he said unto them, in what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

nyinyi mliridhia kukaa nyuma mara ya kwanza, basi kaeni pamoja na hao watakao bakia nyuma.
indeed, you were satisfied with sitting [at home] the first time, so sit [now] with those who stay behind."

kaeni mbali na jengo la westgate -watu wenye silaha kali wanapiga risasi hovyo ndani.
stay away from westgate mall - heavily armed individuals shooting in the mall.

na tukawaambia baada yake wana wa israili: kaeni katika nchi. itapo kuja ahadi ya akhera tutakuleteni nyote pamoja.
after him we said to the children of israel, ‘take up residence in the land, and when the occasion of the other [promise] comes, we shall gather you in mixed company.’

na kaeni nao kwa wema, na ikiwa mmewachukia, basi huenda mkakichukia kitu, na mwenyezi mungu ametia kheri nyingi ndani yake.
always treat them reasonably. if you dislike them, you could be disliking that which god has filled with abundant good.

basi, wakafika katika bustani iitwayo gethsemane. yesu akawaambia wanafunzi wake, "kaeni hapa wakati mimi nasali."
and they came to a place which was named gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, sit ye here, while i shall pray.

"mkiingia katika mji wowote au kijiji, tafuteni humo mtu yeyote aliye tayari kuwakaribisheni, na kaeni naye mpaka mtakapoondoka mahali hapo.
and into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

na kaeni majumbani kwenu, wala msijishauwe kwa majishauwo ya kijahilia ya kizamani. na shikeni sala, na toeni zaka, na mt'iini mwenyezi mungu na mtume wake.
and stay in your houses and do not display your finery like the displaying of the ignorance of yore; and keep up prayer, and pay the poor-rate, and obey allah and his apostle.

na ingeli kuwa kweli walitaka kutoka bila ya shaka wangeli jiandalia maandalio, lakini mwenyezi mungu kachukia kutoka kwao, na kwa hivyo akawazuia na ikasemwa: kaeni pamoja na wanao kaa!
and had they intended the going forth, they would have made some preparation therefor; but allah was averse to their wending, wherefore he withheld them, and the word was passed: stay of home with the stay-at-homes.

basi mwenyezi mungu akikurudisha kwenye kikundi kimoja miongoni mwao - na wakakutaka idhini ya kutoka - sema: nyinyi hamtatoka pamoja nami kabisa, wala hamtapigana na adui pamoja nami. nyinyi mliridhia kukaa nyuma mara ya kwanza, basi kaeni pamoja na hao watakao bakia nyuma.
if, then, allah bring thee back to a party of them, and they ask leave of thee for going forth, say thou: never ye shall go forth with me, nor ever fight an enemy with me; verily ye were pleased with sitting at home the first time, wherefore sit now with those who stay behind.
