akiutoa mtu mkono wake anakaribia asiuone. na ambaye mwenyezi mungu hakumjaalia kuwa na nuru hawi na nuru.
and he for whom allah has not appointed light, for him there is no light.

na siku ya kiyama ardhi yote itakuwa mkononi mwake, na mbingu zitakunjwa katika mkono wake wa kuume.
(such is allah's power that) on the day of resurrection the whole earth will be in his grasp, and the heavens shall be folded up in his right hand.

basi ama atakaye pewa kitabu chake kwa mkono wake wa kulia, atasema: haya someni kitabu changu!
as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say, ‘here, take and read my book!

basi, agripa akamwambia paulo, "unaruhusiwa kujitetea." hapo paulo alinyosha mkono wake akajitetea hivi:
then agrippa said unto paul, thou art permitted to speak for thyself. then paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:

atakaye kunywa humo si pamoja nami, na asiye kunywa atakuwa pamoja nami: ila atakaye teka kiasi ya kitanga cha mkono wake.
so whoever drinks from it is not of me, and whoever does not taste it is indeed of me, excepting one who takes [from it] in the hollow of his hand."

siku nyingine ya sabato, yesu aliingia katika sunagogi, akafundisha. mle ndani mlikuwa na mtu ambaye mkono wake wa kuume ulikuwa umepooza.
and it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.

kisha… kwa kutumia mkono wake mwingine, alivuta kiasi cha nywele zake zilizokuwa zimezagaa usoni kwake na kuzirejesha kuungana na nyingine zilikuwa nyuma ya sikio lake.
then… then with her other hand, she pulled at a lock of hair which went astray in front of her face and shepherded it to join the others behind her ear.

baada ya kuwatazama wote waliokuwa pale, akamwambia yule mtu, "nyosha mkono wako." naye akafanya hivyo, na mkono wake ukawa mzima tena.
and looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, stretch forth thy hand. and he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

kisha wakasokota taji ya miiba, wakamvika kichwani, wakamwekea pia mwanzi katika mkono wake wa kulia. wakapiga magoti mbele yake, wakamdhihaki wakisema, "shikamoo mfalme wa wayahudi!"
and when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, hail, king of the jews!
