wala msipigane nao kwenye msikiti mtakatifu mpaka wakupigeni huko. wakikupigeni huko basi nanyi pia wapigeni.
and fight not with them at the inviolable place of worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them.

na mna nini msipigane katika njia ya mwenyezi mungu na ya wale wanao onewa, wanaume na wanawake na watoto, ambao husema: mola mlezi wetu!
and what is the matter with you, that you should not fight in allah’s cause and for the feeble men, and women, and children, who invoke, “our lord!

na wauweni popote mwakutapo, na muwatoe popote walipo kutoeni; kwani fitina ni mbaya zaidi kuliko kuuwa. wala msipigane nao kwenye msikiti mtakatifu mpaka wakupigeni huko.
and kill them wherever you confront them, and expel them from where they expelled you, for persecution is graver than killing.

hukuwaona watukufu katika wana wa israili baada ya musa, walipo mwambia nabii wao: tuwekee mfalme ili tupigane katika njia ya mwenyezi mungu? akasema: je, haielekei ikiwa mtaandikiwa vita kuwa msipigane?
have you not seen the congregation of the children of israel who demanded of one of their prophets after (the death of) moses?
