na lau kuwa ninayajua ya ghaibu ninge jizidishia mema mengi, wala ovu lisinge nigusa.
and had i knowledge of the unseen, i should have amassed all kinds of good, and no evil would have ever touched me.

hali ya wasio iamini akhera ni ovu; na mwenyezi mungu ndiye mwenye sifa tukufu.
for those who believe not in the hereafter is an evil description, and for allah is the highest description.

likiwafika jema wakisema: haya ni haki yetu. na likiwafika ovu husema: musa na walio pamoja naye ni wakorofi.
so when good would reach them they would say, “this is for us”; and when misfortune reached them, they would infer it as ill omens of moosa and his companions; pay heed!

na likiwafikilia jema wanasema: hili limetoka kwa mwenyezi mungu. na likiwafikilia ovu wanasema: hili limetoka kwako wewe.
and if a good thing visits them, they say, 'this is from god'; but if an evil thing visits them, they say, 'this is from thee.'
