however, the strongest of the believers' love is their love of god.

na katika watu wapo wanao chukua waungu wasio kuwa mwenyezi mungu. wanawapenda kama kumpenda mwenyezi mungu.
(in spite of such clear signs of the oneness of allah), there are people who set up equals and rivals with allah and adore them with the adoration due to allah. whereas the believers adore allah most ardently.

mimi mzee nakuandikia wewe bimkubwa mteule, pamoja na watoto wako ninaowapenda kweli. wala si mimi tu ninayewapenda, bali pia wote wanaoujua ule ukweli wanawapenda ninyi,
the elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom i love in the truth; and not i only, but also all they that have known the truth;

huwakuti watu wanao muamini mwenyezi mungu na siku ya mwisho kuwa wanawapenda wanao mpinga mwenyezi mungu na mtume wake, hata wakiwa ni baba zao, au watoto wao, au ndugu zao, au jamaa zao.
thou shalt not find a people who believe in allah and the last day befriending those who oppose allah and his apostle, even though they be their fathers or their sons or their brethren or their kindred.

watumwa ambao wakuu wao ni wakristo wasiwadharau kwani ni ndugu zao. badala yake, wanapaswa kuwatumikia hata vizuri zaidi, maana hao wanaopata faida kutokana na kazi yao ni waumini ambao wanawapenda. unapaswa kufundisha na kuhubiri mambo haya.
and they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. these things teach and exhort.

huwakuti watu wanao muamini mwenyezi mungu na siku ya mwisho kuwa wanawapenda wanao mpinga mwenyezi mungu na mtume wake, hata wakiwa ni baba zao, au watoto wao, au ndugu zao, au jamaa zao. hao ameandika katika nyoyo zao imani, na amewapa nguvu kwa roho itokayo kwake.
you shall not find a people who believe in allah and the latter day befriending those who act in opposition to allah and his apostle, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts he has impressed faith, and whom he has strengthened with an inspiration from him: and he will cause them to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with him these are allah's party: now surely the party of allah are the successful ones.
