after this manner therefore pray ye: our father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

nenjenje na ukumphatha uyehova? bantundini banobudenge, bangenabulumko, akanguye na uyihlo okudalileyo, okwenzileyo, okusekileyo?
do ye thus requite the lord, o foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

wathi kuwo, khangelani kum, nenjenje: yabonani, ndakufika ekupheleni kwempi, nothi njengoko ndenza ngako mna, nenjenjalo nina.
and he said unto them, look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when i come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as i do, so shall ye do.

besithi, madoda, yini na ukuba nenjenje? nathi singabantu abeva enikuvayo nina; sinishumayeza iindaba ezilungileyo zokuba nibuye kwaba thixo bangento, nibuyele kuthixo ophilileyo, owenza izulu nomhlaba nolwandle, neento zonke ezikwezo zinto;
and saying, sirs, why do ye these things? we also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living god, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
