you are scarce

ke wena, yehova, ungophezulu ngonaphakade.
but thou, lord, art most high for evermore.

ndinjengesimanga kwabaninzi; ke wena ulihlathi lam elinqabileyo.
i am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

but thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

but speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

and thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.

but thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.

but thou, o lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

and thou shalt return and obey the voice of the lord, and do all his commandments which i command thee this day.

kuba ezintlanga uzigqogqayo zaphulaphula amatola nabavumisi; ke wena akakunikanga okunjalo uyehova uthixo wakho.
for these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the lord thy god hath not suffered thee so to do.

ke wena, xa uliza abantu, masingazi isandla sakho sokhohlo into eyenziwa sisandla sakho sokunene,
but when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

ke wena wobethwa zizifo ezininzi, sisifo sezibilini zakho, zide ziphume izibilini zakho sisifo semihla ngemihla.
and thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.

athi ke ngoko amayuda, yayiminyaka imashumi mane anesithandathu nje isakhiwa le tempile, ke wena woyivusa ngeentsuku ezintathu na?

kaloku uyehova, uthixo kasirayeli, uwagqogqile ama-amori phambi kwabantu bakhe amasirayeli. uya kulihlutha na ke wena?
so now the lord god of israel hath dispossessed the amorites from before his people israel, and shouldest thou possess it?

uyihlo wayenza nzima idyokhwe yethu; ke wena yenze lula inkonzo elukhuni kayihlo, nedyokhwe yakhe enzima awayibeka phezu kwethu, ukuze sikukhonze.
thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee.
