তাদের উদাহরণ অতি নিকৃষ ্ ট , যারা মিথ ্ যা প ্ রতিপন ্ ন করেছে আমার আয়াত সমূহকে এবং তারা নিজেদেরই ক ্ ষতি সাধন করেছে ।

and had chosen seclusion from them . then we sent unto her our spirit and it assumed for her the likeness of a perfect man .
অতঃপর তাদের থেকে নিজেকে আড়াল করার জন ্ যে সে পর ্ দা করলো । অতঃপর আমি তার কাছে আমার রূহ প ্ রেরণ করলাম , সে তার নিকট পুর ্ ণ মানবাকৃতিতে আত ্ নপ ্ রকাশ করল ।

and the likeness of a corrupt word is as a corrupt tree -- uprooted from the earth , having no stablishment .
আর খারাপ কথার উপমা হচ ্ ছে মন ্ দ গাছের মতো যা মাটির উপর থেকে উপড়ে ফেলা হয়েছে , এর কোনো স ্ থিতি নেই ।

নিঃসন ্ দেহ ঈসার দৃষ ্ টান ্ ত হচ ্ ছে আল ্ লাহ ্ ‌ র কাছে আদমের দৃষ ্ টান ্ তের মতো । তিনি তাঁকে সৃষ ্ টি করেছিলেন মাটি থেকে ; তারপর তাঁকে বলেছিলেন -- ''হও’’ আর তিনি হয়ে গেলেন।

and when one of them is given news of that of which he sets up as a likeness for the beneficent allah , his face becomes black and he is full of rage .
আর যখন তাদের কাউকে সুসংবাদ দেওয়া হয় তাই দিয়ে যার দৃষ ্ টান ্ ত সে স ্ থাপন করে পরম করুণাময়ের প ্ রতি , তার চেহারা তখন কালো হয়ে যায় আর সে অতিমাত ্ রায় ক ্ ষুদ ্ ধ ্ ব হয় ।

and he strikes out a likeness for us and forgets his own creation . says he : who will give life to the bones when they are rotten ?
আর সে আমাদের সদৃশ বানায় , আর ভুলে যায় তার নিজের সৃষ ্ টির কথা । সে বলে -- ''হাড়-গোড়ের মধ্যে কে প্রাণ দেবে যখন তা গলে-পচে যাবে?’’

surely the likeness of isa is with allah as the likeness of adam ; he created him from dust , then said to him , be , and he was .
নিঃসন ্ দেহ ঈসার দৃষ ্ টান ্ ত হচ ্ ছে আল ্ লাহ ্ ‌ র কাছে আদমের দৃষ ্ টান ্ তের মতো । তিনি তাঁকে সৃষ ্ টি করেছিলেন মাটি থেকে ; তারপর তাঁকে বলেছিলেন -- ''হও’’ আর তিনি হয়ে গেলেন।

god has struck a similitude -- a man in whom partners disagreeing share , and a man the property of one man . are the two equal in likeness ?
আল ্ লাহ এক দৃষ ্ টান ্ ত বর ্ ণনা করেছেনঃ একটি লোকের উপর পরস ্ পর বিরোধী কয়জন মালিক রয়েছে , আরেক ব ্ যক ্ তির প ্ রভু মাত ্ র একজন-তাদের উভয়ের অবস ্ থা কি সমান ? সমস ্ ত প ্ রশংসা আল ্ লাহর । কিন ্ তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না ।

the likeness of the two parties is as the man blind and deaf , and the man who sees and hears ; are they equal in likeness ? will you not remember ?
উভয় পক ্ ষের দৃষ ্ টান ্ ত হচ ্ ছে যেমন অন ্ ধ ও বধির এবং যে দেখতে পায় ও শুনতে পায় উভয়ের অবস ্ থা কি এক সমান ? তবুও তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখ না ?

he hath made for you pairs of yourselves , and of the cattle also pairs , whereby he multiplieth you . naught is as his likeness ; and he is the hearer , the seer .
''তিনি মহাকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর আদিস্রষ্টা। তিনি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদেরই মধ্যে থেকে জোড়া সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আর গবাদি- পশুর মধ্যেও জোড়া, এর মধ্যে থেকেই তিনি তোমাদের বংশ বিস্তার করেন। কিছুই তাঁর সদৃশ নয়। আর তিনি সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বদ্রষ্টা।

allah propoundeth a similitude : man having several partners , " quarelling , and a man wholly belonging to one man . are the two equal in likeness ?
আল ্ লাহ এক দৃষ ্ টান ্ ত বর ্ ণনা করেছেনঃ একটি লোকের উপর পরস ্ পর বিরোধী কয়জন মালিক রয়েছে , আরেক ব ্ যক ্ তির প ্ রভু মাত ্ র একজন-তাদের উভয়ের অবস ্ থা কি সমান ? সমস ্ ত প ্ রশংসা আল ্ লাহর । কিন ্ তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না ।

evil is the likeness of the people who reject our ayat ( proofs , evidences , verses and signs , etc . ) , and used to wrong their ownselves .
তাদের উদাহরণ অতি নিকৃষ ্ ট , যারা মিথ ্ যা প ্ রতিপন ্ ন করেছে আমার আয়াত সমূহকে এবং তারা নিজেদেরই ক ্ ষতি সাধন করেছে ।

( and the hypocrites are ) on the likeness of the devil when he telleth man to disbelieve , then , when he disbelieveth saith : lo ! i am quit of thee .
তারা শয়তানের মত , যে মানুষকে কাফের হতে বলে । অতঃপর যখন সে কাফের হয় , তখন শয়তান বলেঃ তোমার সাথে আমার কোন সম ্ পর ্ ক নেই । আমি বিশ ্ বপালনকর ্ তা আল ্ লাহ তা ’ আলাকে ভয় করি ।
