so when the samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt.
သို့သော်လည်း ထိုလူမျိုးအသီးအသီးတို့သည် မိမိတို့ဘုရားကို လုပ်၍ နေရာကျသောမြို့ရွာတွင် မြင့် သောအရပ်ပေါ်မှာ ရှမာရိမြို့သား လုပ်နှင့်သော အိမ်တို့ ၌ တင်ထားကြ၏။

these twelve jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, go not into the way of the gentiles, and into any city of the samaritans enter ye not:
ထိုတကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးသော သူတို့ကို ယေရှုသည် စေလွှတ်တော်မူ၍၊ သင်တို့သည် တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့ရှိရာ သို့ မသွားကြနှင့်။ ရှမာရိမြို့ရွာထဲသို့ မဝင်ကြနှင့်။

then saith the woman of samaria unto him, how is it that thou, being a jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of samaria? for the jews have no dealings with the samaritans.
ထိုမိန်းမကလည်း၊ သင်သည်ယုဒလူဖြစ်လျက်ပင်၊ ရှမာရိမိန်းမဖြစ်သောအကျွန်ုပ်ကိုအဘယ်ကြောင့် သောက်ဘို့တောင်းသနည်းဟုဆို၏။ ဆိုသည်အကြောင်းကား၊ ယုဒလူတို့သည် ရှမာရိလူတို့နှင့်ပေါင်းဘော်ခြင်း မရှိ။

and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a samaritan.
ခြေတော်ရင်း၌ ပြပ်ဝပ်၍ ကျေးဇူတော်ကြီးလှပါသည်ဟု ဝန်ခံလေ၏။ ထိုသူသည် ရှမာရိလူဖြစ် သတည်း။
