Իսկ սա չէր կամենում. գնաց նրան բանտ նետել տուեց, մինչեւ որ պարտքը վճարէր:

and he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
Յիսուս լեռը բարձրացաւ եւ իր մօտ կանչեց նրանց, որոնց ինքը կամեցաւ. եւ նրանք գնացին նրա մօտ:

but the lord hardened pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.
Տէրը կարծրացրեց փարաւոնի սիրտը, եւ փարաւոնը չուզեց արձակել նրանց:

and he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
Իսկ պիղծ ոգիները սաստիկ աղաչում էին նրան, որ այդ շրջանից դուրս չուղարկի իրենց:

and he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
Եւ նա ցանկանում էր իր որովայնը լցնել եղջերենու պտղով, որ խոզերն էին ուտում, բայց ոչ ոք այդ նրան չէր տալիս:

and one of the pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. and he went into the pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
Փարիսեցիներից մէկը աղաչում էր նրան, որ իր հետ ճաշ ուտի. եւ նա մտնելով փարիսեցու տունը՝ սեղան նստեց:

so when the samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
Իսկ երբ սամարացիները նրա մօտ եկան, աղաչում էին, որ իրենց մօտ մնայ. եւ նա այնտեղ մնաց երկու օր:

and he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
Եւ քեզ ու նրան կանչողը գայ ու քեզ ասի՝ «Սրան տե՛ղ տուր»: Եւ ապա սկսես ամօթով վերջին տեղը գրաւել:

and he said unto them, which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, friend, lend me three loaves;
Եւ Յիսուս նրանց ասաց. «Ձեզնից ո՞վ է, որ բարեկամ ունենայ, գնայ նրա մօտ կէսգիշերին եւ ասի նրան. բարեկա՛մ, ինձ երեք նկանակ փո՛խ տուր,

and he entered into one of the ships, which was simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. and he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
Նա մտաւ նաւակներից մէկի մէջ, որ Սիմոնինն էր, եւ խնդրեց նրան, որ ցամաքից փոքր-ինչ հեռացնի այն. նստեց ու նաւակի միջից ուսուցանում էր ժողովրդին:

and he said, go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, the master saith, my time is at hand; i will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
Եւ Յիսուս նրանց ասաց. «Գնացէ՛ք քաղաք այսինչ անձի մօտ եւ նրան ասացէ՛ք. «Վարդապետն ասում է՝ իմ ժամանակը մօտեցել է, քեզ մօտ եմ անելու զատիկը իմ աշակերտների հետ միասին»:

and he from within shall answer and say, trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; i cannot rise and give thee.
Իսկ նա ներսից պատասխանի եւ ասի. «Ինձ նեղութիւն մի՛ տուր, որովհետեւ դռները փակուած են, եւ երեխաներս ինձ հետ անկողնում են, չեմ կարող վեր կենալ եւ քեզ հաց տալ»:

jesus answered and said unto her, if thou knewest the gift of god, and who it is that saith to thee, give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Յիսուս նրան պատասխանեց եւ ասաց. «Եթէ դու գիտենայի՜ր Աստծու պարգեւները, եւ թէ ով է, որ քեզ ասում է՝ «Ինձ խմելու ջուր տուր», գուցէ ինքդ արդարեւ նրանից կ՚ուզէիր, եւ նա քեզ կենդանի ջուր կը տար»:

and, behold, there came a man named jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:
Եւ ահա եկաւ մի մարդ, որի անունը Յայրոս էր, եւ որը ժողովրդապետ էր: Յիսուսի ոտքերն ընկնելով՝ նա աղաչում էր նրան, որ իր տունը մտնի,

when once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, lord, lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, i know you not whence ye are:
Այն բանից յետոյ, երբ տանտէրը մտնի եւ դուռը փակի, դուք, դրսում կանգնած, կը սկսէք դուռը բախել եւ ասել. «Տէ՛ր, տէ՛ր, բա՛ց մեզ համար». իսկ նա պատասխանելով կ՚ասի ձեզ. «Չգիտեմ, թէ որտեղից էք»:
