եւ Դիտանոց, որի մասին ասաց, թէ՝ «Աստծու աչքը թող ինձ ու քեզ վրայ լինի, որովհետեւ մենք, ահա, բաժանւում ենք միմեանցից:

and we said unto him, we are true men; we are no spies:
Մենք նրան ասացինք. «Մենք խաղաղասէր մարդիկ ենք, լրտեսներ չենք:

then they reviled him, and said, thou art his disciple; but we are moses' disciples.
Նրանք նախատում էին նրան ու ասում. «Դո՛ւ եղիր նրան աշակերտ. մենք Մովսէսի աշակերտներն ենք:

and he asked him, what is thy name? and he answered, saying, my name is legion: for we are many.
Եւ նրան հարցրեց. «Անունդ ի՞նչ է»: Եւ նա ասաց նրան. «Իմ անունը Լեգէոն է, քանի որ բազում ենք»:

so likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, we are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
Միթէ տէրը շնորհապա՞րտ կը լինի այդ ծառային, որ իր բոլոր հրամանները կատարեց:

and now i am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and i come to thee. holy father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
Եւ ես այլեւս աշխարհի մէջ չեմ, իսկ նրանք աշխարհի մէջ են. եւ ես դէպի քեզ եմ գալիս: Սո՛ւրբ Հայր, պահի՛ր նրանց քո անունով, որով ինձ տուեցիր, որպէսզի լինեն մի, ինչպէս մենք էլ մի ենք:

and he said unto them, ye are from beneath; i am from above: ye are of this world; i am not of this world.
Եւ նրանց ասաց. «Դուք այս ներքեւից էք, իսկ ես՝ այն վերեւից. դուք այս աշխարհից էք, ես այս աշխարհից չեմ:

and when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
Եւ օրն սկսեց տարաժամել: Տասներկուսը մօտեցան եւ նրան ասացին. «Արձակի՛ր այս ժողովրդին, որպէսզի գնան շրջակայ գիւղերը եւ ագարակները, հանգստանան եւ կերակուր գտնեն, որովհետեւ այստեղ ամայի վայրում ենք»:

and judah said, what shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? god hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord's servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.
Յուդան ասաց. «Ի՞նչ պատասխան տանք մեր տիրոջը, ի՞նչ ասենք կամ ինչպէ՞ս արդարանանք: Աստուած բռնեց քո ծառաների գործած յանցանքը: Արդ, ահա մեր տիրոջ ստրուկներն ենք ե՛ւ մենք, ե՛ւ նա, ում մօտ գտնուեց սկիհը»:
