the questions identified pertained to: i) the lack of a significant effect in favour of atorvastatin for the composite primary endpoint and several secondary endpoints in the female subgroup, ii) the exclusion of non-diabetic patients at high cardiovascular risk from the proposed indication, iii) the higher cardioprotective effect of atorvastatin when used in combination with particular antihipertensive therapies iv) the extent to which the claimed therapeutic indication could be applied to atorvastatin doses other than those tested in the pivotal trials
les questions identifiées se rapportaient: i) au manque d’ effet significatif en faveur de l’ atorvastatine en ce qui concerne le critère d’ évaluation principal composite et plusieurs critères d’ évaluation secondaires dans le sous-groupe féminin; ii) à l’ exclusion des patients non diabétiques présentant un risque cardiovasculaire élevé par rapport à l’ indication proposée; iii) à l’ effet cardioprotecteur plus élevé de l’ atorvastatine lorsque celle -ci est utilisée en combinaison avec des thérapies antihypertensives particulières; iv) à la mesure dans laquelle l’ indication thérapeutique revendiquée pourrait être appliquée à des doses d’ atorvastatine autres que celles testées dans les essais pivots.
